Directs and provides leadership in daily operations of assigned facility.
Has ability to hire, fire and discipline.
Demonstrates knowledge of all phases of hospital environmental services, including housekeeping operations, hazardous chemicals and materials handling, housekeeping chemicals and products, linen center operations and Infection Control procedures.
Demonstrates understanding of Hazardous Waste Management Procedures and Environment of Care Standards.
Develops and monitors workload standards and productivity reports.
Maintains safety related records, documents, and related material to include safety alert notices.
Prepares periodic reports and provides recommendations.
Inspects building and equipment.
Performs area inspection rounds with Administration representatives to ensure compliance with established hospital sanitation requirements.
Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor degree in related field
Required: 7 years in EVS. 5 years in healthcare field with progressive management experience.
Preferred: Certified Professional Housekeeping (AHA)
