Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Director to help transform the function through adoption of Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) tools and evolving digital platforms to fulfill the vision of safety, compliance and sustainability being integrated directly into uniform processes company-wide.

The best of the legacy UTC (United Technologies Corporation) Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) operating model and Raytheon Six Sigma (R6s) continuous improvement methodology are combining to form a new Raytheon Technologies operating system called CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence). The CORE operating system assesses an organization's maturity against a standard framework pinpoints the most critical areas to improve and provides a suite of improvement methods.

  • This position can be fulfilled remotely from around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence and communicate with senior function leaders regarding critical regulations and improvements to EH&S programs.

  • Improves EH&S processes with industry best practice solutions.

  • Lead EH&S Transformation through adoption of CORE throughout the value chain, integration of EH&S into Standard Production System, Standard Factory and digital factory.

  • Lead adoption of standard work throughout the enterprise.

  • Ensure that management system elements (procedures, tools and audits) are aligned and reduce paperwork burden on sites.

  • Lead the Management Systems team, including indirect resources located in Puerto Rico.

  • Have primary oversight of the EH&S annual plan containing the functional strategy.

  • Manage key interactions with RTX, leadership and site professionals.

  • Responsible for leading Central EH&S and PW EH&S council meetings, budget, and IT liaison.

  • Implement an integrated single production system at multiple sites

  • Drive usage of CORE tools throughout the function

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree required

  • Minimum of 10 years Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Leadership experience required

  • This position requires experience at implementing EH&S programs. Requires leadership skills to bring multiple sites together to develop standard work that is relevant to the shop floor.

  • Candidates need to be motivated and committed to process management through ACE/CORE tools. Digital experience a plus.

  • S'assurer que les lments du systme de gestion (procdures, outils et vrifications) sont harmoniss et rduisent la charge administrative des sites.

  • Diriger l'quipe des systmes de gestion, y compris les ressources indirectes situes Porto Rico.

  • Assurer la supervision principale du plan d'action en environnement, sant et scurit contenant la stratgie fonctionnelle.

  • Grer les interactions cruciales avec RTX, la direction et les professionnels des sites.

  • Responsable de diriger les runions, le budget et la liaison avec le service de TI du service ESS mondial et du conseil d'unit en environnement, sant et scurit de PW.

Les principaux dfis comprennent (a) la mise en uvre d'un systme de production unique intgr dans plusieurs sites et (b) l'utilisation des outils CORE dans l'ensemble de la fonction.

Exigences de base :

  • Baccalaurat requis

  • Minimum de 10 ans d'exprience en leadership ESS

  • Le titulaire de ce poste doit avoir de l'exprience dans la mise en uvre de programme ESS. Il doit possder des comptences en leadership pour runir plusieurs sites afin de mettre en place un travail standard pertinent pour l'usine.

  • Les candidats doivent tre motivs et ils doivent s'engager procder la gestion l'aide d'outils ACE/CORE. Exprience avec le numrique, un atout.

Primary Job Responsibilities: In this role, the candidate will lead the centralized standardization and expertise in system level processing and coordinate Pratt & Whitney sites in the application of both standalone machine and integrated systems. * Leadership role in the engineering and execution of standards as related to automated manufacturing systems.
