The Enterprise Digital Member Experiences team (EDME) brings together important global and enterprise-level digital assets including: Amex Mobile App, Web (MYCA, Home Page, Navigation, Loyalty & Benefits), Digital Commerce (Card and Merchant Offers), Push Channels (email, SMS, push notifications) and User Experience Design & Research. With our partners across the company, our objective is to become a more essential part of our customer's digital lives.
The Director, Enterprise Mobile Platform & Beta Products will be primarily responsible for our partnerships product development and roadmap assessing partner capabilities in-line with our product vision and integrating these into the Membership app. This domain will require exceptional relationship management skills coupled with deep mobile subject matter expertise and analytical capabilities.
The successful candidate will also partner with teams across the organization to accelerate net-new initiatives including Corporate Development, Amex Ventures, Amex Labs and teams around the world, bringing best practices in app-specific techniques to the forefront of our mobile innovations in line with our mobile first mandate.
Furthermore, this role will be responsible for the Mobile Product team's day-to-day relationship with Apple and Google, ensuring we stay across the new capabilities and opportunities available natively to these platforms.
The Director will lead the Partnerships Team and will be responsible for:
Partnering with the core Product Team on roadmap and aligned vision for native app experiences - recognizing opportunities where external parties may be better placed to solve our needs
Partnering with teams across the organization (e.g. Amex Ventures) to identify and assess external parties who provide required capabilities, specifically with regards to our global mindset
Leading operational negotiations with external parties (as required)
Leading partner integration and overall product development process to bring new app-specific features and functionalities into the native app
Driving growth in engagement of our core mobile experience through deeper integrations with the mobile products of our key co-brand partners
Managing the day-to-day relationship with Apple and Google from a native app platforms perspective
Building and leading a team of high-performing Product Owners to influence and iterate our global mobile strategy in partnership with groups across the enterprise
Exceptional relationship management skills
Experience in native mobile app development
International digital experience
Proven track record of delivering digital products that have grown to a large active user base
Excellent communication skills

Strong thought leadership in the digital (particularly mobile device) space
