The Director of Enterprise Data Services and Business Intelligence will lead the comprehensive Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and expansion of analytic data tools, as strategic assets which power and inform decision making across all parts of the organization. This position is for a leader who is passionate about data, comfortable in a dynamic organization, and excited to run and expand a world-class data platform. The job requires business partnering skills, business analysis skills, and effective problem solving ability.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Translating Business Problems: You'll work with data governance and engineers to understand business challenges and translate them into data products, tools, and services.

  • Product Portfolio Management: Oversee the prioritization of data products produced through the company's BI platform and catalog. Balance the need for insights with data protection.

  • Champion Modern Analytics: Promote the use of a modern analytics platform within the organization and educate employees on effective utilization.

  • Roadmap Development: Partner with business stakeholders to create a roadmap that prepares Enterprise Data Services to serve the growing needs of the company.

  • Data Governance: Own and evolve as needed data governance policies and SOPs, to include how to catalog data.

  • Own accountability for the successful execution of the projects, working cross-functionally to ensure solutions deliver against defined business problems and objectives.

  • Work closely with senior leaders to ensure that investments and project backlog are aligned to the strategic goals and overall data and analytics strategy.

  • Lead and manage both internal employees and external consultants.

  • Execute data validation and QA, always advocating for data quality. Ensure that data utilized by stakeholders is accurate and fresh.

  • Champion a "Data as a Product" approach, prioritizing delivery, accessibility, and UX to business users and ensuring assets are optimized and fully leveraged by the company.

  • Establish data KPI measurements and monitoring across both the EDP and active projects, to be able to communicate status, health, and coverage/quality metrics to stakeholders.

  • Continually improve and expand the full analytic landscape and effectiveness of technology solutions. Identify opportunities for efficiency and scale, without sacrificing quality.

  • Prepare and deliver updates to management and non-technical stakeholders, in concert with business data management, and propose and get buy-in for related roadmaps and solutions.

  • Maintain written documentation and ensure it is continually valuable and up-to-date.

Desired Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or analytical field preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant hands on experience, including translating business needs into data and reporting requirements, spec writing, and data validation testing.

  • Minimum of 4 years managing a major business platform (data, CRM, etc.)

  • Proficient with SQL for data exploration, analysis, and validation.

  • Familiarity with data design, API documentation, and other technical documents.

  • Knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals. Understanding of data engineering and the tools required to execute related responsibilities.

  • Experience with BI reporting and visualization software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SAS).

  • Experience with SOX system controls a plus.

  • Experience with clinical or financial data a plus.

  • Strong critical thinker and problem solver. Able to identify and formulate solutions and action plans to resolve a wide range of business needs.

  • Motivated to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Project management ability - You get things done and you get others to get their things done too.

  • Superior oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including senior business leaders and executives.

This position is remote. However, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $180,000 - $225,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
