Under general direction, the position is responsible for managing all Administrative Information System (AIS) applications such as, but not limited to, Ellucian Banner, AIS solution, and Kronos time-keeping. The Director, Enterprise Application leads a team of advanced journey level/professional classifications to map, automate and streamline District business processes, security controls of administrative applications data, software development and documentation, data warehouse development and reporting, and integrations between District software and/or technology services. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manages the implementation and ongoing support of administrative information systems and ancillary systems.
Manages the timely design, development, testing, implementation, training, documentation, and support of all administrative applications used by the District by establishing appropriate applications development, change management, and project management processes.
Establishes, maintains and reports appropriate performance metrics for the delivery of all services including measurements relating to quality and utilization.
Works closely with Information Technology Systems (ITS) management in coordinating applications related to project management services through all phases of the project life cycle.
Develops and manages service delivery strategies that effectively support the timely delivery of departmental and division service objectives.
Manages the business and operational processes of all administrative operations of the College.
Works with vendors, outside partners, and various PCC departments to negotiate and manage contracts and in establishing service level agreements as appropriate.
Works with ITS management to deliver project leadership for all projects impacting the ITS Division including those projects not directly under the Director's division by ensuring project objectives are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Assists with the development and maintenance of a comprehensive unit plan, Technology Master Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, and other special reports and/or presentations.
Participates in the annual preparation of the recommended division budget.
Supervises expenditures of assigned division funds.
Develops an effective and productive support services team that emphasizes customer satisfaction and innovation.
Participates in the recruitment of departmental and District staff.
Evaluates the performance of assigned staff to assess individual performance, recommend developmental practices, and ensure proper departmental operations.
Works with District constituents to understand technology and training needs.
Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in information technology, or a related field such as computer science and information systems management
Two (2) years of experience managing information technology operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Ellucian Banner, Colleague, or Peoplesoft.
Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
Oracle, SQL, & MS Access database platforms.
California Community College, state and federal reporting requirements
ABILITY TO:
Work with a lean operation involving in-house, matrix, and contracted personnel resources.
Work in multi-ethnic environment.
