The Director End User Services will be responsible for establishing and executing a national end-user computing strategy to deliver enterprise-level end-user services technologies that improve the clinician and patient experience across Optum's Care Delivery Organizations (CDOs). Key accountability will be establishing and executing strategic direction on enterprise end-user computing solutions for a clinical environment, including end-point management (imaging, deployment, patching), virtual desktop infrastructure, service desk and field support and email & collaboration.
Additional responsibilities include:
Understand national, regional and local CDO priorities and business drivers
Design, engineer and manage the organization's end user computing platforms and services to enable scale, security and alignment with Optum standards
Influence and lead geographically diverse teams away from legacy or localized solutions towards national standards and services
Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements to ensure solutions can achieve the needs of the clinical environment
Develop roadmaps for new and existing acquisitions to conform to nationally delivered services
Establish national and regional services and standards to minimize duplicative effort and cost
Monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards and ensure that solutions are continuously improved and maintained through product management practices
Foster relationships across the enterprise - including Regional CIOs, local CIOs, local IT leaders and SMEs
Manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities

10 years relevant work experience
5 years of experience leading enterprise teams
5 years of experience leading teams responsible for Active Directory, Email, Instant Messaging, Virtual Desktops, SCCM and Endpoint Security
5 years IT Service Management experience directly supporting key ITIL processes, such as request, incident, problem and change management
Superior customer service mindset and solution delivery focus
Strong management presence and adeptness with how to effectively address an executive audience
Strong communicator with demonstrated collaboration and analytical skills to achieve business goals
Strong service orientation and mindset is a must
If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.
