We are seeking a highly dynamic and agile Director of Employee Engagement to be responsible for developing and executing strategies to foster a positive organizational culture, administering all engagement and retention initiatives across all LLUH entities and maximizing employee engagement to drive business results. This leader will work collaboratively with LLUH leadership to improve the patient and student experience, employee engagement and other indicators of mission accomplishments. Additionally, this leader will own the development and implementation of the employee engagement survey strategy, administer satisfaction surveys and partners with LLUH leadership with creation of action plans to improve overall engagement.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field required.
Master's Degree preferred. Minimum five years of experience working with employee engagement programs and satisfaction surveys required. One year of leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of human resources and quality improvement strategies around employee satisfaction surveys.
Able to collaborate and drive results with purpose, speed, and agility. Able to effectively communicate changes and facilitate buy-in from stakeholders. Able to drive excellence by working closely with senior leaders, HR team, faculty, employees, students and external vendors to exceed engagement strategies and business results.
Able to respond strategically and proactively to changing business needs and objectives. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction.
Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
