Job Summary:

As Director, Diversity and Inclusion (D+I) you will support a formalized diversity & inclusion strategy, roadmap, initiatives and metrics in accordance with Danaher's broader global Human Resources and business goals. Reporting directly to the VP, Global D+I, you will help drive a cultural transformation for Danaher globally. This role is responsible for driving the creation, development, management and execution of D+I programs that will be integrated into the following areas:

  • Talent Acquisition

  • Talent Management and Associate Engagement

  • Leadership Development and Organizational Learning

  • Culture of Inclusion (Associate Resource Groups)

In this role, you will partner with the functional HR leaders at Danaher Corporate and work closely with the Operating Company HR and business leaders across the organization to ensure solid D&I standard work is being applied to all Talent practices. A key part of this role will be developing relationships with Sr. operating company leaders, corporate leaders and senior HR professionals alike. This role requires a responsive, strategic, and customer focused individual who has demonstrated success being a change agent.

You will have everyday interaction with all levels of management including senior executives. Key internal relationships with SVPs, CHRO; VPs, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition (and cross-company talent acquisition council), Talent Planning and Engagement, Leadership Development, Organization Learning, and OpCo leaders throughout the enterprise globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Vice President, Global D+I in the implementation of a corporate diversity strategic plan that reflects company culture, business and talent priorities and contributes to the development of an inclusive global work environment

  • Dream, develop and deliver on new D+I programs aligned with talent priorities and goals

  • Assist global Talent Acquisition leaders (university, professional and executive) to promote D+I in all hiring and recruitment processes

  • Partner with Corporate, platform, regional and operating company talent leaders on programs and practices that create innovative ways of including D+I principles in all areas tied to internal talent

  • Align key D+I metrics with all critical talent metrics

  • Be a thought partner and help further embed D+I into functional talent pipelines (e.g. Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, DBS, Procurement and IT)

  • Partner with operating companies to gain thorough understanding of D+I needs globally and provide ongoing support to the Leadership Development and Organizational Learning teams to help drive cultural change through learning solutions

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic. The individual must be an independent thinker and self-starter with the bandwidth to multi-task and work on several key projects at a given time. It is important that the individual have superior interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at multiple levels both inside and outside of Danaher. The candidate must be globally minded and able to champion Diversity + Inclusion.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Human Resources from a top-tier institution

  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in a leadership role within Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Management or Human Resources

  • Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is critical

  • Strong project management skills, successful teaming with colleagues, and a strong results orientation

  • A high energy, results-oriented and resourceful leader who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing themselves as a credible strategic partner

  • A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and leaders

  • Have a proven track record for building integrated diversity strategies

  • Able to travel 30 - 40% both domestic and international

Responsibilities * Develop strategies to increase sales of base business and new sales opportunities. * Responsibile for the sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes for the sales team. * Develop and implement training and retention strategies to assure the ongoing evolution of a well-prepared and sales-achieving sales team. * Establishes measurable performance attributes for the sales team to be measured against and holds the team accountable to those attributes. * Plans and executes sales-achieving customer visits through a well prepared presentation of the product lines and establishing strategic dialogue with accounts to close opportunities. * Develops and demonstrates market-right product knowledge and strong business acumen that establishes self as a collaborative and strategic business partner with internal team members – customer service, inside sales, marketing, merchandising, supply chain, etc. * Works with direct reports to develop a strategic customer visit calendar that is utilizing resources most effectively with a focus on key accounts as well as new account prospecting. * Ensure that there is strong account follow up and account communication detailed in CRM system.
