KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Development to join our Digital Business Transformation organization. This opportunity is open to internal candidates from all KPMG US locations and external candidates interested in being based in one of the cities listed within this posting.


  • Strategic and proactive accountability for ensuring technology alignment with business objectives and the KPMG overall technology strategy

  • Steer overall business expectations, perceptions and support ongoing two way communication of technology strategies, priorities and governance

  • Direct and lead multiple development projects, development group(s) and/or application support functions in support of multiple clients and business groups; Partner closely with business stakeholders to outline technology fiscal planning and be accountable for overall technology spend

  • Develop solid business relationships becoming a trusted advisor with key leaders and stakeholders to proactively support business objectives; Business Executive level escalation point ensuring business expectations, goals and objectives are met

  • Oversee of all phases of the system development and implementation processes including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for the client area's application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, and tools

  • Manage the team's project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; Maintain relationships with vendors and professional organizations


  • Minimum ten years of experience in Information Technology - systems analysis and application program development

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, the clients' area's functions and systems, and application program development alternatives

  • Experience managing and directing systems development or systems maintenance project teams

  • Ability to develop and execute multi-faceted business plans; Capability to foster the development of high performance teams and ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs

  • US Citizenship is required

VIEW JOBS 4/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-17T00:00 JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the National Director of Development, the Director of Development Midwest-West Region, is responsible for raising funding from individuals, corporations and foundations, with gifts at the $5,000 level and higher. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating efforts designed to increase NWTF major gift activity within the territory. In this capacity, he or she works closely with national and state board members, volunteers and all NWTF team members. The duties of this position also include supporting the NWTF with special project assistance as needed. This position is located in the Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota Region. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations that are part of the regional prospect portfolio to support the conservation and hunting heritage mission of NWTF. * Coordinate with field operations, conservation and other development staff to secure funding for NWTF's highest priorities to include support for operations, Big Six and state level initiatives and hunter recruitment, education and youth programs. * Actively manage a personal portfolio of prospects to qualify, cultivate, stewardship and solicit. * Collaborate with field operations and conservation staff to educate NWTF volunteers and supporters about NWTF's major gift program. * Collaborate with field operations staff to assist in achieving all annual fundraising goals. * Track outcomes of prospect qualification, cultivation, stewardship and solicitation. * Create and achieve goals in annual work plan. * Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree * Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills. * Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening * Commitment to personally cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gift commitments * Strong planning, organization, leadership, and management skills * Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software * Experience in using computer-based information systems in support of fundraising programs * Ability and willingness to travel extensively in performance of responsibilities * The selected candidate will have a strong affinity for NWTF's mission of securing the future of conservation and our hunting heritage. They will be a self-starter who has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and is driven to succeed. Knowledge of the region's philanthropic community and interest in outdoor conservation and hunting activities are also desired.
