KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Development to join our Digital Business Transformation organization. This opportunity is open to internal candidates from all KPMG US locations and external candidates interested in being based in one of the cities listed within this posting.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and proactive accountability for ensuring technology alignment with business objectives and the KPMG overall technology strategy

  • Steer overall business expectations, perceptions and support ongoing two way communication of technology strategies, priorities and governance

  • Direct and lead multiple development projects, development group(s) and/or application support functions in support of multiple clients and business groups; Partner closely with business stakeholders to outline technology fiscal planning and be accountable for overall technology spend

  • Develop solid business relationships becoming a trusted advisor with key leaders and stakeholders to proactively support business objectives; Business Executive level escalation point ensuring business expectations, goals and objectives are met

  • Oversee of all phases of the system development and implementation processes including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for the client area's application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, and tools

  • Manage the team's project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; Maintain relationships with vendors and professional organizations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of experience in Information Technology - systems analysis and application program development

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, the clients' area's functions and systems, and application program development alternatives

  • Experience managing and directing systems development or systems maintenance project teams

  • Ability to develop and execute multi-faceted business plans; Capability to foster the development of high performance teams and ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs

  • US Citizenship is required

The department focuses its efforts on partnering with the company's senior executives to answer the most pressing strategic questions. The team is focused on providing broad, strategic vision for Georgia-Pacific/Koch Industries, including both organic growth strategy and acquisition/divestiture strategy. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: * Market & Competitive Analysis: Continuously assess GP business segment and adjacent markets. Develop or lead others to develop value chain analysis and determination of price setting mechanisms. Assist in competitor analysis. Develop the Georgia Pacific Point of View (POV) for a segment within a GP Business. * Product & Brand Strategy: Assist with developing sound strategic decisions that will result in growth for both top and bottom lines for one GP division. Provide strategic assistance in such areas as understanding the channel, effective pricing, capturing market share, channel mapping, and creating new value-add services (go-to-market strategy). * Capability Development & Execution/Acceleration: Create analytical and conceptual frameworks to help line managers with their strategic decision making. This will support the financial analyses, POV development, vision development, etc. These will include price optimization, benchmarking and best practice sharing. The candidate should be able to create quantitative analysis to determine the values of qualitative and subjective POVs. * Business Development (M&A): Provide broad, strategic and analytical input into potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures to ensure maximum returns on invested capital and consistency with the company's overall vision. Develop the business case for potential acquisitions and divestitures by spearheading both the strategic due diligence and valuation initiatives of a transaction. What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: * 6+ years' overall experience with any combination of experience in strategic consulting, strategic planning/corporate development, business development, and/or growth strategy * 2+ years' experience leading teams * Bachelor's degree in business or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge What Will Put You Ahead?
