This role is part of the Global Retail Banking Wealth Management (RBWM) Customer Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) and provides senior managerial support for the North American business entities specifically for Data Science & Innovation in Analytics.
Impact on the Business
Work on complex & extremely varied data analytic projects across the full Analytics team in support of the RBWM business, across customer, CRM product, digital & channel analytics.
Develop, implement & monitor data science products & solutions for stakeholders, as well as for the Analytics team and drive forward analytic innovation for the organization.
Write optimized code to advance & innovate Data Science solutions, plus effective visualization of output to drive insights & business change.
Work with IT, Data Engineers, Data Management & Digital / Channel teams to design & implement machine learning & advanced analytic solutions.
Work across all functional teams locally and with aligned offshore teams to advance the skills, capabilities & techniques used in Data Science.
Ensure analytic solutions & implementations deliver required financial benefits and/or enhanced customer personalized experiences.
Provide data science thought leadership and ensure best in class deliveries to the local, regional and global analytic & business teams.
Customers / Stakeholders
Major local stakeholders are the Digital Channel leadership & business team, plus Customer Value Management, CRM, Network, Product & Proposition Teams, & Marketing.
An increasing level of support is provided to Group stakeholders, and specifically in this role to the Global Data & Analytics function and Global Digital teams.
Leadership & Teamwork
Support the Regional Head of RBWM Analytics in providing a high quality, customer driven analytic function.
Comfortable working in a matrix organization. Maintain & develop strong relationships with all local and offshore analytic team members, key business partners and stakeholders across the organization.
Demonstrate leadership in the role, be an ambassador to identify & drive forward the implementation of Data Science & Advanced Analytic solutions and promote the culture of "Build Once, Deploy Many Times".
Provide direction & leadership to both local and offshore analytic teams to drive forward and deliver the local Data Science agenda.
Develop a culture of continuous innovation, challenge the business on approach and keep abreast of the latest developments in the Data Science& Analytics industry.

Minimum of 8 years proven and progressive Data Science & Analytic experience, includes statistical modeling using advanced analytic techniques& machine learning.
Master's degree required in computer science, data science, maths, economics, information systems or operation research field.
Excellent quantitative & analytical skills for optimizing and evaluating analytic solutions.
Proven leadership track record in dynamic environments, and ability to support & supervise less experienced analysts both locally and offshore.
Proven ability to analyze digital channel data (structured & unstructured) hands on, develop insights and recommend business strategy changes across web, e-mail and mobile channels.
Experience in applying data science methods to business problems and communicate solutions to Executive Management & senior stakeholders.
Programming experience in SAS, SQL, R and/or Python is required.
Text mining and Natural Language Processing experience required.
Experience with industry standard Visualization tools (e.g. Qlik Sense) & Deep Learning tools (e.g. Tensorflow) preferred.
Preferred experience of Digital Media Analytics / Social Media analytics, including strategy development, channel attribution and ROI measurement.
Preferred experience managing analytic projects & use of tools in a Cloud Environment (Google Cloud, AWS).
Experience of working with Adobe suite, including Adobe Analytics& Adobe Audience Manager, plus Celebrus products beneficial.
