Apply expertise in analyzing pharmaceutical industry and commercial data sources to support Executive Director, Data Capabilities, in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the US Oncology Business Unit (OBU) data governance process, as assigned. Serve as the internal market dynamics expert on data sources, developing and maintaining data use guides, defining appropriate business rules, and overseeing data governance as it pertains to the assigned data sources.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including in digital, marketing, marketing access, patient service, finance, medical, and commercial teams to stay abreast of industry or business trends. .Apply advanced analytics to ensure appropriate use of each data set. Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support strategic recommendations for action using statistical analytics software, such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, etc.
Provide data governance for cross-referenced business intelligence data (i.e.
Patient Level Claims data, EMR/HER (Electronic Medical Record data or Electronic Health Record) data, Lab data, etc.) for various oncology disease areas. Owner of GPO (Group Purchasing Organization), IDN (Integrated Delivery Network), account, physician, and patient level oncology marketing data. Parterner with analytics stakeholders in analytics, including OCMs (Oncology Care Model), treatment pathways, marketing access, clinical protocols, patient journeys, patient services, etc.
Provide big data management through big data management system like AWS (Amazon Web Service), Hadoop. Provide data analytics and visualization through Qlik Sense, Alteryx. Develop and maintain data source user guides for each assigned data set.
Develop and maintain business rules for each assigned data set and work with PLS and IT to implement the business rules. Ensure data validity through data governance and management process, working with PLS and IT to ensure the data validity process is adequate for US OBU's needs. Identify opportunities to maximize the use of data through identifying data partners and analytics vendors.
Facilitate and maintain relationships with each vendor. Maintain current contracts and other documentation requirements. Evaluate new data sets and assist in the negotiation of new contracts.
Keep abreast of innovative data offerings and vendors through market intelligence. Demonstrate subject matter expertise by supporting commercial and medical teams in the selections of data source for projects and tasks. Exhibit ownership of assigned data sets through governance process.
Provide subject matter expertise on data source and their use. Complete rapid cycle data source evaluations.
