Providence is calling a Full Time, Day Shift Director, Critical Care Services to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for developing the vision and strategies related to Critical Care Services.

  • Direct and is responsible for the clinical and operational components of the critical care and progressive care departments, rapid response team, critical care float pool and other departments as assigned.

  • Understand and supports Shared Governance and the effective engagement of nursing and other inter-professionals in shared decision-making.

  • Report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Management experience in hospital/health care environment.

  • 3 years administrative experience in hospital administration or specialty field.

  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.

  • Current California Licensed Registered Nurse

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters Degree

  • CCRN

  • Nurse Executive-Board Certified (NE-BC)

We are seeking a Director Ancillary Services who will be under the general direction of the Administrative Director of Clinic Operations, is responsible for providing oversight for the Eye centers, Radiology services, Physical Therapy and Corporate Float Pool departments. Directs and manages daily activities of direct reports, caregivers and providers working in these Ancillary departments. Accountable for program development, patient satisfaction, caregiver engagement, budget, and overall performance for these areas. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and requirements mandated by accrediting bodies. Ensures quality outcomes for internal and external customers. Coordinates with marketing to improve program visibility of the Eye Centers and Physical Therapy department; cultivates referral relationships to grow both programs. Maintains excellent working relationships with contracted radiologists and ensures JOC meetings occur to ensure performance is optimized. In this position you will: * Ability to lead and influence organizational change and drive high quality and results –oriented outcome * Ability to effectively manage direct reports, delegate work assignments, and develop performance management action plans as needed * Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions to drive change * Support Administrative Director in developing strategic planning and growth planning documents * Supervise and engage direct report(s) in an effective manner, offers constructive feedback, and provides counseling to drive results * Manages the Department within the established budget * Hire and retain qualified staff, ensures new employees are oriented to their department and well trained for their jobs * Organize the department workload and establishes work standards to promote efficiency and productivity * Conduct department staff meetings on a monthly basis or more frequently if needed and maintains minutes of all meetings. * Motivate and manage staff to ensure that performance standards are met or exceeded * Monitor the ongoing development of the staff; gives timely and constructive feedback on performance; documents all corrective counseling * Prepare and conduct fair and objective performance appraisals in compliance with the organization's performance management program, procedures, standards and guidelines * Participates in project management activities supporting organizational initiatives * Ensure level of efficiency and consistency in the technical area of computerized program software as it relates to the service levels of the ancillary departments * Oversee radiology departments' quality control programs and is able to analyze and correct any problems that occur * Administer reports and surveys required by state, local and federal agencies * Develop work plans and project tracking documents that highlight key achievements and open items * Educate, train, and develop managers and caregivers in the use of quality improvement and change management methodologies * Collaborate and network with managers and staff to facilitate interdisciplinary relationships that emphasize teamwork, departmental integration, efficient resource utilization, quality outcomes and satisfaction for internal and external customers * Mission & Values: * Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities.
