The Director, Corporate FP&A will be responsible for development and oversight of the Corporate planning and analytical support processes to ensure seamless integration into Regional and Functional organizations. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate FP&A, the candidate will lead the design and implementation of Global short and long-term planning processes. The Director, Corporate FP&A will play a key role in providing management with meaningful and insightful financial analysis related to strategic corporate initiatives, new growth opportunities as well as existing performance trends against operating plans.

This person will be based out of Princeton, NJ and will be onsite 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the overall FP&A team to support the execution of the business strategy; establish metrics and monitoring systems that maintain accountability and manage risks.

  • Work with the Technical Accounting and Finance Operations Groups to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close in accordance with IFRS.

  • Support budget and planning processes (for short-, medium- and long-this includes developing, communicating and driving budget timeline that is aligned with Regions and Functions, creating budget templates and preparing budget deliverables

  • Own Long Range Planning process including software tool solution. Create efficiencies and drive enhancements to Planning modelling

  • Validate business input into budget and planning

  • Develop and maintain processes to forecast financial results including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, from both Legal Entity and Management Entity perspective.

  • In conjunction with Regional and Functional organizations, drive process improvements, forecast accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Establish clear and credible reporting and forecasting metrics to enhance information flow and ultimately decision making and budget management

  • Support strategic planning and monitor royalties/milestone payments & receipts

  • Assess planning tools (Adaptive Insights) and current processes to drive enhanced analytics and dashboard creation. Leverage AI where practical to create efficiencies

  • Drive research and analysis of key business drivers and performance indicators

  • Provide analytic support to strategic corporate initiatives and projects

  • Drive cost control and cash flow mindset across the enterprise by developing, communicating and enforcing processes that lead to cost management

  • Support best in class reporting practices through benchmarking of industry and competitor external communications

  • Ensure that all levels of the company, the board and other external constituents, are provided with accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting to run the business.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required. A CPA/ MBA or other graduate degree is desired.

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience, including successful managerial and leadership roles, in operational finance, corporate strategy and/or consulting.

  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP and IFRS)

  • Strong experience in designing & leading best-in-class FP&A processes, (e.g. budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning) working with a large complex global life sciences company is required.

  • Strong experience in Strategic Planning.

  • Demonstrated track record of leadership, team building, and business process reengineering/transformation

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate to Senior Leadership

  • Progressive, forward thinker; ambitious; comfortable with ambiguity; tenacious; flexible.

  • Driven to see tangible results, able to push for results but also collaborate with others to drive them.

  • Effective in using state of the art of analysis tools to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful accurate forecasts; systems implementation and fluency in latest digital trends in FP&A is a strong plus.

  • Experience working in a variety of financial or operating assignments in which he or she has been responsible for executing best-in-class disciplines to optimize business results.

  • Demonstrate the ability to balance multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities to achieve a positive outcome.

  • Be a team player with an ownership mentality who is not afraid to "roll up the sleeves," and demonstrate a diplomatic, intuitive and mature presence; operate well in a fast-paced environment.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$165,000.00---$275,000.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
