Job Summary:

Organizes, controls, and directs the work activities of a team of Contract Management professionals (which can include engagement/project staff, outside contractors) to support an AFS Portfolio. Formulate program goals and objectives to focus activities towards effective performance of a Contract Management team. Exercise effective, proactive management techniques to adhere to performance objectives and measurements. Directly influences and provides guidance to and sets the example for others to follow in terms of professionalism and overall demeanor. Provides advice to Accenture's business units and project teams on complex contract management and policy compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of Contract Management services and support to the Portfolio, Sector or client account - this includes knowledge of each of the contracts in his/her domain

  • Responsible for consultation, escalation of business issues and identifying alternatives that lead to resolution when items are not solved satisfactorily by the project team. This includes being part of the escalation path, working with Legal Services and the AFS Managing Director

  • In conjunction with other members of the Contract Management leadership team, develops, disseminates and implements best practices consistently across AFS

  • Understands, supports, and enables business and strategy of the business unit

  • Determines the effective and efficient assignment of duties to positions for Contract Management team, as well as outside contractors

  • Selects personnel for employment and work assignments for Contract Management team

  • Sets performance standards, evaluates work performance, and takes action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies for the Contract Management team

  • Manages and maintains senior relationships within AFS

  • Establishes strong contract formation and company compliance with contract terms, policies, procedures and regulations

  • Resolves complex inquiries regarding risks, issues, contract obligations and revisions

  • Serve as key escalation point and provide judgment/assistance in identifying the key project risks for executive escalation

  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Accenture's offerings in order to communicate effectively with project Managing Directors and provide relevant advice

  • Escalation point for reviews and management of contractual obligations of the parties and periodic review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met

  • Actively involved in AFS Contract Management initiatives

  • Focused on career development (including training) for team

This position is responsible for the oversight of the design, development, and refinement of care management and associated functions to create a continuum of integrated care and experience for our members. This position provides leadership and direction to the Care Management leadership team and is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of URAC accreditation. The director collaborates across the enterprise and with clients to ensure that objectives are aligned, business strategies are delivered and financial, compliance and quality objectives are met. The incumbent is expected to conduct all communication and assignments professionally with peers, supervisors, subordinates, vendors, customers, and the public. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Essential job functions include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change. Strategic development and implementation of care management programs Provide strategic direction, leadership, and operations oversight to programs and staff to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of Care Management operations Collaborate with clients to perform consultative services to develop appropriate clinical coordination programs centered on supporting a member with healthcare needs. Continually refines operational processes and leads review of team processes, workflows and activities. Communicates and collaborates with senior medical director and Chief Medical Officer for medical management, clinical programs and clinical issues that arise Direct operational readiness and regulatory/accreditation compliance via formal processes such as policy and procedure, program descriptions, auditing, training, and metric monitoring and management. Lead the evaluation of program performance based on analysis of data and market requirements to identify and act on opportunities to enhance and improve. Oversees the development and coordination of quarterly productivity reports and client reporting. Create and foster an environment where Care Management staff can work effectively and efficiently. Leads and directs a high performing team including interviewing and hiring and onboarding of employees. Conducts performance evaluation and is responsible for managing employees, including skill and career development, policy administration, coaching on performance management and behavior, employee relations and cost control. Develop educational plans and implementation of annual training for skill and career development of staff Works collaboratively with the implementation team and workflow process when adding new clients Oversee the cost savings analysis for the Case Management and Utilization Management staff for the individual group plans. Oversee URAC compliance and application/certification processes for the Utilization Management Department. Participate in administrative meetings & client reporting with Care Management customers, Account Representatives or other group contacts upon request as assigned by supervisor.
