Job Summary:

Organizes, controls, and directs the work activities of a team of Contract Management professionals (which can include engagement/project staff, outside contractors) to support an AFS Portfolio. Formulate program goals and objectives to focus activities towards effective performance of a Contract Management team. Exercise effective, proactive management techniques to adhere to performance objectives and measurements. Directly influences and provides guidance to and sets the example for others to follow in terms of professionalism and overall demeanor. Provides advice to Accenture's business units and project teams on complex contract management and policy compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of Contract Management services and support to the Portfolio, Sector or client account - this includes knowledge of each of the contracts in his/her domain

  • Responsible for consultation, escalation of business issues and identifying alternatives that lead to resolution when items are not solved satisfactorily by the project team. This includes being part of the escalation path, working with Legal Services and the AFS Managing Director

  • In conjunction with other members of the Contract Management leadership team, develops, disseminates and implements best practices consistently across AFS

  • Understands, supports, and enables business and strategy of the business unit

  • Determines the effective and efficient assignment of duties to positions for Contract Management team, as well as outside contractors

  • Selects personnel for employment and work assignments for Contract Management team

  • Sets performance standards, evaluates work performance, and takes action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies for the Contract Management team

  • Manages and maintains senior relationships within AFS

  • Establishes strong contract formation and company compliance with contract terms, policies, procedures and regulations

  • Resolves complex inquiries regarding risks, issues, contract obligations and revisions

  • Serve as key escalation point and provide judgment/assistance in identifying the key project risks for executive escalation

  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Accenture's offerings in order to communicate effectively with project Managing Directors and provide relevant advice

  • Escalation point for reviews and management of contractual obligations of the parties and periodic review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met

  • Actively involved in AFS Contract Management initiatives

  • Focused on career development (including training) for team

He/she will own and deliver annual revenue, market share and profitability targets. The product manager is accountable for virtually all aspects of the service product business without having direct authority over the resources required to deliver the results. This leader will work directly with the Domain Business Leaders, Global Products, Finance, Sales Operations, Service Operations and Learning and Development to deploy all aspects of the defined plan. How you will do it Commercial Product Development 1. Define the Services product strategy and roadmap including opportunity research and sizing, product development, offering development, marketing & lead generation, sales and operations stakeholder capacity, sales support requirements, sales and operations education requirements, delivery methods and administrative processes to sustain the program. 2. Deliver the Services Market and Product Requirements Documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification based on robust market research, voice of customer/voice of market, competitive plans and strategic insight 3. Develop and deliver the lifecycle business plan, commercial go to market model, securing alignment and commitment from all relevant functions including Global Products, sales, marketing, manufacturing, services operations, finance Strategic & Go-To Market Planning 4. Work with senior leadership to define, launch and drive strategic and operational deployment plans. Support execution of strategic and operational by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing recommendations 5. Closely collaborate with sales to define correct channels of distribution to optimize global market coverage. This may include sales segmentation and defining additional sales and operational capacity and skill requirements with VP Sales and VP Operations 6. Closely collaborate with Global Products to ensure product requirements are delivered to meet customer expectations and within the right cost and schedule targets 7. Set strategic market based pricing and work with the regions to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met 8. Develop core positioning and messaging for the product or portfolio 9. Develop product content for sales support, sales and operations training and customer collateral, including web presence and product demos. Work cross organizationally to ensure product visibility in all appropriate venues; measure impact and results 10. Be the customer advocate, define the customer value proposition that is sustainable and differentiated; be the resident expert on the competition 11. Manage the product lifecycle including phase in/phase out, product extensions, customer specials and value engineering Financial Management 1. Define and deliver annual revenue, market share and profitability targets 2. Develop and maintain financial models with various levers to analyze impact of sales and Customer performance on overall EBIT. Support the finance team by building annual and quarterly forecasts. 3. Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis, where possible. Drive the development and implementation of tools that allow for increased, efficient analytical capabilities and that allow senior leadership to understand key financial issues and trends in a timely and effective manner Team Management (As Applicable) 1. Manage direct reports through successful recruitment, performance management, development planning and retention. Provide optimal oversight and supervision to ensure goals are achieved and appropriate growth in technical, leadership and team membership skills. 2. Manage a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development 3. Optimize Support services through onshore and offshore teams by building relationships with key stakeholders and managing individual performers to ensure cost-efficiency and effectiveness of partnerships for business needs What we look for Required * Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combined education and experience. Master's degree preferred. * Fifteen (15) years related program or product management and service experience required. A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the HVAC industry, supply management experience preferred. Five (5) years related management experience preferred. * Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software. * Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability. * Effective and professional communication and organization skills. * Superior negotiation skills.
