Job Summary:

Organizes, controls, and directs the work activities of a team of Contract Management professionals (which can include engagement/project staff, outside contractors) to support an AFS Portfolio. Formulate program goals and objectives to focus activities towards effective performance of a Contract Management team. Exercise effective, proactive management techniques to adhere to performance objectives and measurements. Directly influences and provides guidance to and sets the example for others to follow in terms of professionalism and overall demeanor. Provides advice to Accenture's business units and project teams on complex contract management and policy compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of Contract Management services and support to the Portfolio, Sector or client account - this includes knowledge of each of the contracts in his/her domain

  • Responsible for consultation, escalation of business issues and identifying alternatives that lead to resolution when items are not solved satisfactorily by the project team. This includes being part of the escalation path, working with Legal Services and the AFS Managing Director

  • In conjunction with other members of the Contract Management leadership team, develops, disseminates and implements best practices consistently across AFS

  • Understands, supports, and enables business and strategy of the business unit

  • Determines the effective and efficient assignment of duties to positions for Contract Management team, as well as outside contractors

  • Selects personnel for employment and work assignments for Contract Management team

  • Sets performance standards, evaluates work performance, and takes action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies for the Contract Management team

  • Manages and maintains senior relationships within AFS

  • Establishes strong contract formation and company compliance with contract terms, policies, procedures and regulations

  • Resolves complex inquiries regarding risks, issues, contract obligations and revisions

  • Serve as key escalation point and provide judgment/assistance in identifying the key project risks for executive escalation

  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Accenture's offerings in order to communicate effectively with project Managing Directors and provide relevant advice

  • Escalation point for reviews and management of contractual obligations of the parties and periodic review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met

  • Actively involved in AFS Contract Management initiatives

  • Focused on career development (including training) for team

What is the Portfolio Consulting Services Team responsible for? The PCS Team provides consulting services to financial advisor clients of Franklin Templeton. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Portfolio Construction Specialist? The Portfolio Specialist role combines advisory and analytical thought with market and industry expertise to offer our clients comprehensive risk, reporting and investment-oriented analytics focused on improving a model portfolio at the client's instruction. The specialist will work in a team environment to develop and implement solutions that meet our client's business needs. We use traditional risk analysis, factor modeling, stress testing, diversification and other tools to identify to identify solutions for our clients. The specialist will initially assist within the current team structure and territory assignments to provide US Sales Teams with the best possible solutions for our clients. After a period, the Specialist would be expected to assume territory coverage of their own. * Assist PCS Portfolio Consultants reviewing portfolio risk, sources of return and diversification to create portfolio recommendations * Generate written summaries of findings and rationale for portfolio changes, where appropriate. * Collaborate with Sales to ensure their understanding of the materials and focus points for clients. * Assist with workflow optimization and report construction. * Research industry best practices surrounding portfolio construction techniques, risk metrics and evolving research * Provide support to department leader with ad-hoc projects, research topics, etc What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? * 8 years of professional experience in finance/investments * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. M.B.A. / Graduate degree / CFA or progress towards preferred * Knowledge of capital markets, various investment instruments, asset classes and general understanding of portfolio construction and investment analytics * Strong analytical and strategic thinking, excellent communication skills and judgement * Ability to work independently and provide insightful analytical reports within the department and to Sales teams * Strong skills with Excel and Tableau What makes Franklin Templeton unique?
