Job Summary:

Organizes, controls, and directs the work activities of a team of Contract Management professionals (which can include engagement/project staff, outside contractors) to support an AFS Portfolio. Formulate program goals and objectives to focus activities towards effective performance of a Contract Management team. Exercise effective, proactive management techniques to adhere to performance objectives and measurements. Directly influences and provides guidance to and sets the example for others to follow in terms of professionalism and overall demeanor. Provides advice to Accenture's business units and project teams on complex contract management and policy compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of Contract Management services and support to the Portfolio, Sector or client account - this includes knowledge of each of the contracts in his/her domain

  • Responsible for consultation, escalation of business issues and identifying alternatives that lead to resolution when items are not solved satisfactorily by the project team. This includes being part of the escalation path, working with Legal Services and the AFS Managing Director

  • In conjunction with other members of the Contract Management leadership team, develops, disseminates and implements best practices consistently across AFS

  • Understands, supports, and enables business and strategy of the business unit

  • Determines the effective and efficient assignment of duties to positions for Contract Management team, as well as outside contractors

  • Selects personnel for employment and work assignments for Contract Management team

  • Sets performance standards, evaluates work performance, and takes action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies for the Contract Management team

  • Manages and maintains senior relationships within AFS

  • Establishes strong contract formation and company compliance with contract terms, policies, procedures and regulations

  • Resolves complex inquiries regarding risks, issues, contract obligations and revisions

  • Serve as key escalation point and provide judgment/assistance in identifying the key project risks for executive escalation

  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Accenture's offerings in order to communicate effectively with project Managing Directors and provide relevant advice

  • Escalation point for reviews and management of contractual obligations of the parties and periodic review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met

  • Actively involved in AFS Contract Management initiatives

  • Focused on career development (including training) for team

Job Summary Responsible for all aspects of the global corporate risk management function including insurance programs, contract review, vendor management, surety bonding, and captive oversight. Manage the marketing and administration of all global insurance programs through various brokers including Property, Liability, D & O, Fiduciary, Aviation, Marine, Charters' Liability, Workers Compensation, etc. Provides analysis and recommendations on all insurance programs, policy limits, retention levels and insurance carriers. Job Description KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES * Analyze, design, and implement all global insurance programs including D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, Aviation, Auto, General liability, Property, Marine, Charters, Liability and Workers' Compensation * Direct the negotiation and placement of global insurance programs by working with brokers and the carriers to achieve competitive pricing and coverage terms that address the risks of the organization to the fullest extent possible * Oversee surety bonding programs in the US and Australia * Provide advice to senior management, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board of Directors on complex insurance and risk management topics, including the D&O program * Assist Legal Department to efficiently defend and/or settle major litigation and claims in a cost-effective manner with insurance companies * Manage third-party claims adjustors to ensure workers' compensation and federal black lung claims are resolved cost effectively * Develop risk management department goals and objectives and prioritize plans based on business risk impact, available resources and budget * Collaborate with operating units to evaluate exposures throughout the businesses and recommend / implement loss control and/ or insurance programs. * Manage and maintain vendor relationships and measure performance of third -party service providers, brokers, carriers and risk assessment engineers * Benchmarking of programs, including but not limited to program structure, risk financing strategies, retentions, coverage enhancements and carrier financial strength * Manage insurance budget/allocation methodologies for company and business units * Manage data and computation of casualty reserves through interaction with accounting, actuaries and brokers on loss forecasts * Coordinate loss control efforts and services from brokers and other risk providers * Manage the captive insurance company and sit on the board of the captive EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree (MBA,JD) preferred; certifications desirable * 5+ years of experience as a risk manager for a large company * 10+ years of insurance experience, mining industry experience a plus * Broad-based knowledge of commercial insurance products (casualty, cyber, executive, property, etc.) and alternative risk financing tools * Experience with claims handling across multiple coverage lines for programs carrying large deductibles and retentions * Contractual liability knowledge is required (insurance provisions, indemnificaiton, subrogation) * Solid judgment, strong analytical skills * Strong negotiation skills on contracts or settlements * Effective written and verbal communicaiton skills with internal and external customers * Self-starter who is able to anticipate and prioritize business needs and handle a diverse range of projects with minimal supervision * Ablity to effectively supervise and motivate others, foster teamwork, and build collaboration with multiple internal and external business associates * Superior Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excell, PowerPoint, etc.) Physical Requirements Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing * Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment * Must be able to use a computer * Must have the ability to communicate effectively * Some posiitons may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers EEO Disclaimer Peabody Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
