The Director will own and lead a proactive service organization that will be the forefront of digital transformation and enabling continuous delivery. The director will play a key role in establishing the standards and processes of evaluating current, upcoming and cutting-edge technologies and trends to ensure that the chosen platform and infrastructure delivers the best business value and experience for internal stakeholders.

This leader will have end-to-end responsibility for the continuous improvement of enterprise solutions to enable and, ultimately, empower internal development teams with tools, frameworks, and capabilities to produce quality products, increase speed and realize operational efficiencies. This team is responsible for devops best practices, platform as a service, config as code, DB as code, delivery pipeline at scale, automation, security & quality compliance. The role requires a level of comfort with ambiguity and the ability to quickly pivot as the needs and priorities of the business and key stakeholders shift with the market. This role will be driving this transformation across the owners of customer facing digital properties, monolithic applications, and 3rd party/SaaS applications to enable CI/CD and DevOps practices.

This leader will own the technical guidance of the delivery platforms listed below, supporting all company applications: customer facing digital properties, monolithic applications, and 3rd party/SaaS applications.

  • CI/CD tools e.g. Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Sonarqube, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Harbor, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Snyk, PCF, Ansible

  • Enterprise Delivery Pipeline & Platform

  • Build framework, Code & Quality Analysis, Deployment, Repository, Orchestration, Resiliency, User Access, Platform Integration, Self-Service Capabilities, Monitoring
  • Delivery Pipeline Services pipeline migration & consolidation, config as code, db as code, pipeline as code, infra as code

  • Platform Operations

  • In depth understanding of operations functions, DevOps advanced tools and troubleshooting techniques
  • Research and evaluating cutting edge technology for CICD to accelerate optimal results and proactively increasing the maturity of our pipeline, platforms and tools.

The Director is responsible for managing a $25M budget and building a growing a team of ~15 full-time and 60 contract software development managers, architects, engineers, technical analysts, and technical project managers in the development, delivery, and support of solutions and services. Significant emphasis will be placed on identifying opportunities for continuous integration and development.


  • Lead a matrixed organization with CI/CD initiatives partnering with Product, Technology & Operations organization.

  • Define Frameworks and Enable Self-Service capabilities to support development teams in modernizing legacy application architecture and infrastructure to empower CI/CD.

  • Execute the design, development, and operations of platforms that are scalable with extensible architecture, highly performant, and maintain high availability.

  • Lead system design of highly scalable systems with native telemetry and monitoring in mind. Enabling self-healing systems.

  • Ensure effective collaboration between product, technology, and operation teams.

  • Manage a team of managers and contributors; efficiently manage staff to support systems for continuous availability; coach and mentor senior staff

  • Form strategic partnerships with senior internal customers within and outside of technology organization. Intimately understand their business strategies, generate new ideas, manage issues and ensure that strategy is appropriately aligned.

  • Actively plan and manage a portfolio of high quality delivery platform products & services through a lifecycle of envisioning/investing/sustaining/retiring.

  • Drive innovation, improvement and adoption of industry leading practices including open source, CI/CT/CD, cloud, microservices/container architecture and latest technology to accelerate optimal results.


  • Minimum 10 years of experience developing & enabling CI/CD suite and delivery pipeline e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Sonarqube, Infra as Code, DB as Code, Config as Code, etc.

  • Familiarity and experience with multiple technology service delivery models and methodologies (Agile, waterfall, DevOps, ITIL)

  • Experience successfully delivering large scale enterprise technology projects

  • Experience with custom development, packaged product implementation, and buy vs build methodologies

  • Budget management of at least $15m

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
