TITLE: .6 FTE DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL LEARNING AND INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Connecticut Certificate as a Classroom Teacher
Valid Connecticut Certificate as an Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor (092)
Broad background in public education with Master's Degree in appropriate area of study
3-5 years experience in educational technology in a leadership capacity
Experience with all ranges of technology and systems management
Demonstrated visionary leadership and effective management of instructional and informational technology
Proven management skills: budgeting, inventory control, oral and written communication, program planning and assessment, marketing, public relations, staff supervision and evaluation.
Extensive knowledge of the research base for teaching and learning and use of technology in curriculum and instruction
Significant project management and implementation experience
Demonstrated successful teaching/staff development experience
Demonstrated understanding of computer and network systems; aptitude in repair and modification; experience and training in practical technical skills: network wiring, interfacing, adapting hardware, system configuration, and assembly
Experience in preparing and implementing technological grant opportunities to benefit the Wilton Public Schools
Knowledge of Library Learning Commons development
Such additions and alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools
Works in collaboration with building administrators and central office
SUPERVISION/EVALUATION: District technology staff, library media specialists, building technology and technical support staff as appropriate
JOB GOAL: To lead the district technology mission and assist staff members, students, and all constituencies to obtain maximum benefit from the educational program by providing a technology-rich environment that supports the curriculum, enhances student learning, and improves communication among all constituents.
