The Director, Compliance Operations will be a key member of our team reporting to the VP, Global Compliance & Ethics and managing the operations of the Compliance department to enable the achievement of the department's strategic priorities and goals and drive operational excellence across our processes and ways of working. From strategic planning and decision-making to fine operational details, this new role combines comprehensive vision with a detail-oriented approach, making it a pivotal function for the Compliance department and overall organization. The role is based at our headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut, and has a hybrid working schedule.

In this role you will get to:

  • Work closely with the VP, Global Compliance & Ethics and other senior compliance leaders on strategic planning; create and maintain a comprehensive plan to drive and enable the achievement of program activities against strategic priorities, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Drive effective engagement and ways of working across a highly-matrixed global organization. Liaise with owners and stakeholders of program activities, processes, and initiatives to stay informed of, and enable, progress and ensure successful and timely completion.

  • Maintain a holistic and current view of program developments. Establish and maintain effective processes for monitoring, tracking, and reporting on program activities, goals, and KPIs. Prepare polished presentation materials, dashboards, and reports, including for senior management and the Board of Directors.

  • Manage core operations processes, such as the department's budget and spending. Prepare dashboards and reports to department leadership to inform planning and resource allocation. Drive operational excellence across the department through informed insights and continuous improvements.

  • Oversee the department's calendar, as part of overall leadership of compliance operations, including key meetings, milestones, and submission deadlines throughout the year, and required preparation (agendas, presentation materials). Lead the planning and organization of departmental meetings, events, updates, and other communications. Drive improvements in the overall ways of working and operating cadence of the department and overall organization.

  • Act and communicate on behalf of department leadership as necessary and appropriate to drive program initiatives or answer inquiries. Exercise impeccable judgment and maturity in decision-making and communications. Support department leadership in fostering team engagement and role model absolute integrity, customer focus, excellence, innovation, optimism, and enthusiasm.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree preferred, especially a law or business degree

  • 8+ years of experience in a corporate compliance or ethics department, law firm, consulting firm, or similar, especially within global and matrixed organizations

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in designing, delivering, and optimizing company-wide and function-specific programs on a global scale, coupled with extensive program and project management experience

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability to be clear and concise when communicating with stakeholders across different levels, functions, and geographies

  • Fluent with metrics and use of data and analytics to inform program operations

  • Collaborates effectively within a team and drives project progress autonomously to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrates confidence, integrity, and composure in high-pressure situations.

  • Exhibits high accountability, ownership, and proficiency in managing multiple complex tasks with meticulous attention to detail, all while fostering continuous learning, growth, and improvement.

There are a variety of job related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $188,100-$229,900.
