Position Description Overview

Position is responsible for support of the Control and Regulatory Compliance environment in support of Independent Sales Organization (ISO) functions as well as Gateway, ISV and Vars, and uCom product support. Position has dotted line to executive management.

Job Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for ensuring the execution of the Risk and Control and Regulatory Compliance Management framework.

  • Works with the Business Areas to identify the existing risks and controls, facilitates the risk assessment and control gap identification, and oversees the testing of the identified controls.

  • May participate in the execution of the testing process, design of controls and in process optimization sessions collaborating with the business owners to determine the optimal control structure for certain processes.

  • Collaborate and lead the development of a risk and control structure to ultimately achieve a standard Risk and Control Self-Assessment Program.

  • Responsible for the execution of the RCSA process.

  • Responsible for tracking and enabling the remediation of issues ensuring remediation is completed and escalation occurs when appropriate.

  • Analyze and report on established metrics related to the control environment for the areas assigned and identify areas of concern.

Scope of Job

  • Directs one or more functions at the corporate level.

  • Consults with business leaders across the company to identify and manage multiple and control risks, influence control & risk decisions and mitigate risk.

  • Supports global compliance programs addressing complex problems and critical issues.

  • May manage staff within the functional unit or potentially across multiple geographic locations.

  • Mitigates risk exposure to company by identifying activity that poses potential for significant reputations and/or regulatory injury.

  • May work on highly complex issues and high profile clients with a high breadth of responsibility when dealing with business programs and processes

  • Provides training on a multitude of payment acceptance topics and interprets highly technical information into business requirements and accountable for the delivery of information that has a direct effect on financial plans/goals.

  • In addition, this position may develop, maintain, and manage critical business communications outlining complex regulatory changes, pricing, and/or fees.

This role will be responsible for global oversight and leadership across Clinical Development with regard to TMF activities. This includes, but is not limited to: process development and improvements, review and approval of study Trial Master File (TMF) plans, assignment and management of Study File Specialists, , and continued relationship building with key stakeholders and customers. The Associate Director will have oversight for the vendor performing TMF Completeness checks; own and manage the relationship and governance with eTMF Vendor. They will be accountable for internal process audits and provide support as needed for both internal study audits and external inspections. Develop and implement processes and oversight of Trial Master File (TMF) activities. Liaise with functional business leads to facilitate knowledge and use of TMF tools and processes to standardize procedures. Own and manage all applicable process documents associated with managing the trial master file. Develop and implement the framework for a standard, global structure of the Trial Master File (TMF) * Use recent audit findings and consultant review to understand current status across sites, inconsistencies and gaps * Identify and evaluate electronic document repositories in use for source documentation * Use experience and knowledge of ICH GCP and Code of Federal Regulation Guidelines to design globalized standard structure for TMF * Evaluate and update/develop templates, tools and processes for TMF set-up and maintenance * Evaluate reporting capabilities and delivery on KPIs * Act as the liaison for standardized document filing across Clinical Development * Collaborate with CQA and Clinical Quality Compliance Group and Study teams to ensure global submission and inspection readiness of TMFs Provide management level oversight of Functional Service Providers for TMF related activities to ensure deliverables are met with accuracy, timeliness and with the best quality. Provide TMF support for both inspection and audit activities for both internal and external hosted audits. This includes interfacing directly with Agency Inspectors (FDA, PMDA, EMA, MHRA) or auditors; providing assistance with pulling documents, speaking to the TMF process and assisting with resolving potential issues identified. Stakeholder Management and Communication: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external collaborators and stakeholders across all CSL geographical regions. Foster communication with senior management throughout the organization to promote increased cooperation and accountability. Develop, track and report TMF related metrics to show inspection readiness and completeness of TMF across the portfolio. Responsible for people management; Manager, Specialists and Oversight of 3rd party QC Analysts to field, escalate and resolve TMF issues. Provide global oversight of the archiving procedures related to documents for the TMF, including identification of offsite archiving vendors and assessment of destruction of ISF documents when requested.
