Position: Director, Compliance & Ethics Operations
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Drives compliance and ethics improvement across a region by overseeing the execution of assessments and audits; overseeing the development of plans to correct deficiencies; ensuring timely execution of plans; preparing region-level reports and presentations; ensuring sensitive data is protected; communicating risks and advising regional operators in the development and communication of plans to mitigate or eliminate systemic, complex or emerging risks; identifying and recommending mitigation strategies in response to areas of opportunity; obtaining operational support of initiatives; and aligning company compliance and ethics strategy with regional needs. Directs complex compliance and ethics programs and reviews by identifying industry best practices and incorporating them into compliance and ethics programs; managing the implementation and maintenance of compliance and ethics programs; conducting reviews; providing feedback and training of identified errors; escalating on-going performance concerns to leadership; and ensuring global implementation of the compliance and ethics programs. Oversees and monitors compliance and ethics training and education at the regional level by managing the development of the training strategy; analyzing compliance and ethics data to determine trends or areas of opportunity; identifying, communicating, and monitoring the execution of compliance and ethics best practices; conducting and facilitating ongoing training; ensuring trainers are properly trained. Develops divisional strategies and programs to prevent violations of compliance and ethics programs by advising business leaders on ethical investigative processes; building relationships with internal organizations to better understand their business practices. Drives state and federal regulatory outreach to build relationships and influence decisions for risk monitoring and mitigation by ensuring the company's compliance and ethics programs, policies, procedures, and reports are communicated in a persuasive, accurate, and understandable way to regulators; communicating success of programs to regulators, state and federal officials; mentoring regional-level operators on engaging state and federal regulators; tracking and identifying legislative issues that may have a business impacts on the division; providing recommendations to leadership on compliance and ethics strategies; developing external relationships and alliances to strengthen the company's reputation with state and federal compliance community; and overseeing regulatory outreach meetings with state and federal government officials.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Marketing, or related field plus 5 years of experience in ethics and compliance or related experience; OR 7 years of experience in ethics and compliance or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Managing ethics case lifecycle in international markets; Communicating risks and advising business operators and executives in the development and communication of action plans to mitigate or eliminate systemic, complex or emerging risks; Directing and/or reviewing complex compliance and ethics programs and incorporating them according to business needs; Overseeing and monitoring compliance and ethics process improvements across the business at varying levels; Developing strategies and procedures to prevent violations of compliance and ethics programs by advising business leaders on ethical; investigative processes; building relationships with internal organizations to better understand their business practice; and drafting of remediation action plans to address the risk identified; Risk identification and remediation within the Ethics and Compliance fields; Retail operation knowledge to identify process gaps and necessary improvements within the business; Project management skills including management of cross functional teams during the execution of remedial efforts and/or project execution; Ethics case trends report writing; Ethics case data analysis to gather key risk indicators and ethical
