Through its Center for Community Development, AENB's overarching goal is to maintain a leadership position in financing, investing, and facilitating community development activities within our Salt Lake City MSA assessment area and beyond.
The Center for Community Development is hiring a Director. This Director is responsible for managing the grant and volunteer program, fulfilling CRA technical aspects, providing demographic and economic research and other administrative duties. The CRA Director will supervise a hardworking and knowledgeable team and will report directly to the CRA Officer.
The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of CRA, strong team management skills, project management skills and ability to contribute to new community development initiatives. This is a leadership role within CCD and provides a tremendous opportunity to deliver value to American Express National Bank as well as the communities in which we live and work.
The successful candidate will be:
Responsible for achieving annual CRA goals with respect to community development services and qualified investments (grants);
Responsible for research and strategies to assess and address the community development/credit needs of low and moderate income communities;
Responsible for maintaining the annual Public File, Performance Context, and CRA Program Guide;
Assist with coordinating internal audits, compliance testing and regulatory business self-testing;
Assist in the preparation of presentations and documentation related to Board of Director meetings, CRA committee meetings, other internal committee meetings, data integrity reviews, and CRA examination.
Responsible for scheduling, coordinating and minute taking of quarterly CRA committee meetings.
Maintain existing relationships with non-profit organizations, governmental agencies and other community stakeholders to provide meaningful community development activities benefitting low- and moderate-income people and communities.
5 years of relevant experience;
CRA exam experience strongly preferred;
Knowledge of CRA history, regulation and community development work;
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal/external partners;
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities (i.e. CRA Modernization);
Ability to influence others to achieve complex objectives;
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint;
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Master's degree a plus.
