This role is critical to achieving our People objectives. Reporting to the Chief of Staff for the People Team, working directly with the Chief People Office (CPO) and partnering across the entire company, this role will seek innovative ways to inform, inspire and engage employees through a variety of communication channels, engagement platforms and multi-media. You are a communications expert who thrives on inspiring a culture of disruption, execution and transformation while being in service to the teams driving various People and business strategies.
Drive the internal communications strategy to ensure user adoption and demonstrate measured improvement of employee awareness and engagement
Create and deliver multiple messages through varying channels often to multiple audiences through a clear strategy that results in engaged employees
Partner across the People Team to enable the achievement of strategic initiatives and key employee programs
Deliver timely, clear and compelling messages that support the CPO, and multiple SMEs across the People Team
Ensure People Team communications align with Palo Alto Networks' brand and amplify corporate communications internally
Collaborate with and work with multiple communications leaders from across the business to ensure that what may originate as disparate strategies are received as a cohesive purpose-driven approach to Internal Communications
Continuously monitor communications practices using evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas of improvement
Partner in the execution of an effective rhythm of the People business and optimize continuously in pursuit of leanness, agility, and impact
Use cross-functional knowledge and seek to understand issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence the People Team and business at large
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MS degree or MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in a similar 'Employee/Internal Communications' role, experience in Employee Engagement best practices and philosophies, Human Capital strategies, Tools and Platforms that enable collaboration and Program Management
Record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and leaders up to the executive level, communicating to all levels in organization
Ability to work seamlessly across all People functions (staffing, learning & development, operations, business partners, corporate responsibility, etc.) and collaborate with all business functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Legal, etc.)
Experience thriving in a matrixed environment, the ability to bring structure and focus to the team while being agile in a time of constant change
Proven ability to balance time investment in strategic vision and tactical execution
Excels at negotiation, facilitation, and problem solving across functional boundaries
