Job Description

The Director, Commercial Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) reports to the Vice President of Commercial Finance. The Director, Commercial SIOP facilitates and leads the monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process. This position requires direct and indirect leadership of multiple remote teams and collaboration with a wide audience crossing all functions of the organization, including executive management to address balancing plans, scenario analysis and opportunities and mitigating risk. This role is responsible for, driving accuracy, efficiency and process improvements utilizing the monthly SIOP process at MasterBrand. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring the process aligns with annual budget and forecasting as well as strategic plan. This role will own and manage calendar cadence, attendee list, and process training for sustainability.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Facilitates the SIOP process including product, demand, supply, reconciliation/financial appraisal, and executive review.

  • Leads the executive review, ensures all relevant information is presented for alignment and plan approval.

  • Coordinates amongst executive all plan balancing issues, risk, and opportunities.

  • Drives process improvements for accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability.

  • Communicates each plan to commercial and financial leadership, proactively surfacing areas of opportunity or risk relative to budget/forecast.

  • Owns the process of key performance metrics and standard operating procedures.

  • Ensures alignment with financial plans and forecasts.

  • Champions special projects related to SIOP.

  • Leads supply and demand management teams.

  • Hires, trains, and retains skilled staff through career development and mentoring.

  • Consistently demonstrates the MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.

  • Develops in-depth knowledge of all MasterBrand strategic business units. Leverages ideas from other reviews and co-workers to provide value-added recommendations and best practices to others.

  • Demonstrates teamwork by responsively collaborating with executive management and staff, sharing information and ideas, proactively seeking, and accepting constructive feedback, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate.

  • Identifies self-development needs and seeks opportunities to work on areas that will further develop skills.

  • Participates in company efforts related to ethics and compliance activities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Master of Business Administration and/or Master of Accountancy preferred; Certified Public Accountant (or Chartered Accountant equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, business operations management, and/or demand management in a multi-site, manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with Oliver Wight Sales and Operation Planning process a plus.

  • Public accountant experience a plus.

  • Understanding of and experience with the interpretation and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), cost accounting, and Sarbanes Oxley Act.

  • Progressive financial experience leading diverse teams at multiple locations within a manufacturing organization a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop an efficient and engaged finance, planning, and analysis team and to manage multiple priorities and team members in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills required.

  • Strong organizational and execution skills. Must be capable of moving assignments forward with high quality execution and minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills are required. Ability to drive successful execution of reporting requirements.

  • Positive and solution-orientated attitude and approach.

  • Effective communication (written and verbal); clearly, concisely and with context communicate objectives and expectations within the organization.

  • Ability to critically assess and simplify processes and controls, and challenge business drivers and risks. Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Experience in a multi-division company environment and in a public company setting a plus.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

  • Ability to travel annually (domestic & international).
