Director, Commercial Field Operations

Humacyte, Inc. is bringing to market a once in a generation scientific technology platform, bioengineering readily available and universally implantable product opportunities focused on improving lives of patients and transforming the practice of medicine. Located in Durham, NC, the company develops and manufactures acellular tissues for the treatment of diseases and conditions across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The company's innovative technology supports tissue repair, reconstruction, and replacement while overcoming limitations in existing standards of care. Initially developing a portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs), to target multiple vascular markets including trauma, arteriovenous access for hemodialysis, peripheral arterial disease, and coronary artery bypass grafting. Humacyte is focused on the development of future markets such as pediatric heart surgery, delivery of cellular therapies, and multiple other novel cell and tissue systems.

We are looking for additional colleagues to continue to build our expanding team. Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and lead other professionals and peers.

Major Accountabilities:

Data Systems & Strategy Development

• Work with cross-functional colleagues to develop a data and systems strategy

• Lead the development of data governance and data architecture plans

• Execute data and systems strategy by taking lead on data acquisition and software selection (e.g., CRM) efforts

Commercial & Medical Analytics Capabilities Development

• Work with cross-functional partners to define KPIs and determine reporting requirements

• Lead the team which supports the organization's commercial and medical reporting and analytics needs

Market Understanding

• Work with cross-functional partners to lead research efforts such as customer segmentation/sales targeting and product journey

• Provide recommendations on customer engagement strategy and product positioning

• Lead demand estimation studies and work with finance to update and maintain revenue forecast model

Field Administration

• Assist Incentive Compensation design and reporting efforts

• Lead in field team structure, sizing and territory alignment efforts

• Strong operations background with experience in supporting product commercialization

• Strong data & systems background with experience leveraging and synthesizing data from third parties and external reporting vendors

• Strong team-building and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively influence others in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

• 15+ years of experience with strong understanding of business analytics and demonstrated history of supporting pre- and post-new product launch

• Demonstrated ability to bring customer insights and product learnings to the commercial organization to help inform, shape and/or redirect product development efforts

• Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate data needs of the team

• Strong MS Office skills

• Field analytics experience
