Director, Commercial Systems
Design short, medium and long-term business implementation plans, systems, workflows to support and scale various growth phases of new business models and commercial relationships.
Map and document complex new commercial systems and processes needed to support innovative business models.
Create, designs and develops integrated system flows necessary to enable new sales offerings
Works with Commercial Product and Platform Technology owners to provide Pricing and Commercial model systems requirements in B2B and B2C environments.
Represent Commercial Model stakeholder needs and requirements for eCommerce
Represent Business Owner needs and requirements for new Pricing Engine design
Develop systems and workflows to help the Commercial Models team process validate and automate complex multi-modal partner and reseller business activities.
Solve and troubleshoot ad hoc commercial model needs and problems. Integrate new modifications into existing processes and systems.
What you will do:
Create and optimize business systems and processes to support innovative commercial models.
Document and manage integrate and synchronize complex networks of metadata feeds and partner reporting.
Manage and oversee Pricing Engine Design Administration and operation to ensure effective design, implementational and communication of Wiley pricing policies.
Develop requirements for improved and more effective implementation, enablement and operation of commercial models for Technology teams to solution more efficient and effective commercial model functioning.
Implement complex pricing logic for cross-sell and upsell models in eCommerce environments, Broader sales capabilities at higher price points on eCommerce.
What you will need:
Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Finance or similar area
Prior Experience / Industry or Other: 5+ years' experience working with business systems design and platform management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics: Experience managing in fast paced Agile environments. Extensive knowledge of Finance, business systems and commercial models. Extensive experience developing complex business requirements for Commercial product platform implementations.
Technical and Business Competencies, System flowcharting and design illustration. Strategic Project Management. Agile Management and Mentorship. Change Management, Process Improvement Financial budgeting and modelling.
Self-Management Competencies: Strong communication skills, Sound business judgment, Entrepreneurial Spirit Ability to prioritize heavy workload. Strong ability to work independently and quickly.
Management and Leadership Competencies: Ability to "problem solve" in a pro-active manner
Six Sigma Training and Experience Project or program manager experience Pricing Systems/Platform Administration
