Responsible for ensuring that production plans are executed, must be active in organizing and controlling the coat shop departments. Has knowledge of production orders; and ensures that all products meet delivery needs. Responsible for planning and maintaining an efficient and safe environment. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of the day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements. Reports to Vice-President of Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Reports on the effectiveness and performance of the production to the VP of manufacturing.

  • Meets with supervisors to discuss improvements and work with team to complete production goals.

  • Ensures that production is managed to ensure that targets are achieved.

  • Ensures training of new employees.

  • Resolves machinery and quality programs with related department heads.

  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation.

  • Identifies areas of improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a production director

  • Deep knowledge of production management

  • Understanding of quality standards and safety regulations

  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts

  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics

  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software

  • Outstanding communication ability

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong decision-making and a results-driven approach

  • BA in business administration or relevant field is preferred

  • Team oriented

  • Self-motivated

  • Blend of technical, interpersonal skills
