Business Unit Description:

Enterprise Resiliency Assurance (ERA) develops and delivers the capabilities required to resume our business in the event of a disaster that renders our services unavailable. The events that are within the scope of responsibility include both physical and cyber events. ERA centrally coordinates the efforts needed to recover and restore the infrastructure and applications, depending on impact.

Position Summary:

The Cloud Disaster Recovery team is responsible for coordination of efforts to recovery and resume business and services from a DR event with our public cloud providers. The recovery and resumption coordination includes developing dynamic runbook capabilities based on the service or services impacted and the region or regions that are unavailable. This also involves identification of where an application is actively hosted and processing and any point in time and monitoring the automated recovery capabilities where implemented. This requires collaboration across multiple IT and business departments to design, build and test these capabilities. The Team Lead provides strategic leadership, direction and planning. Leads overall support of the Resiliency program and align the team to the goals of the program. Team Lead provides continuous review of processes and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.

Works collaboratively with stakeholders to propose improvements with respect to achievement of cloud resiliency goals.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Set direction and strategy for assigned Cloud Disaster Recovery team.

  • Establish team priorities and assign work to team members.

  • Develop in-depth understanding of DTCC operational requirements and business objectives

  • Address recovery and resiliency requirements within solutions.

  • Provide leadership in generating change proposals for service improvements.

  • Participate in cross-functional project team meetings to support project delivery.

  • Ensure thorough resiliency strategy that allows the business to meet recovery time and recovery point objectives

  • Provide input into response to audit reviews.

  • Participate in regulatory reviews and exams

  • Create solutions that comply with key regulatory obligations, including protecting DTCC data and confidentiality.

  • Manage the team to meet balanced scorecard targets by monitoring team progress towards metric targets and actively participating in Continuous Improvement-related initiatives to minimize unfavorable variances.

  • Direct and ensure smooth workflow within the Team by staying informed and in touch with key elements of the organization beyond their Team and communicating key messages and updates in a timely manner.

  • Maintain constructive relationships within and outside the Team. Fosters a collaborative environment.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of work, including monitoring of external and internal dependencies, tracking of progress, and monitoring of project milestone accomplishments.

  • Promote the professional development of Team personnel.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience

Specific Skills & Technologies:

  • Experience in management of Technical Disciplines or Business Applications

  • Familiarity with the regulations and industry principles for recovery and resumption as it pertains to cyber.

  • Experience in Financial Services and/or FinTech industry, strongly preferred
