Introduction

We are seeking a Director of Classic Crusher Products to join our Crushing Product Business Line team. You will be responsible for managing the spare products and limited capital equipment offering for all classic brand crushers and Metso's Contender Series line of crusher spare products. This product group consists of over 80 classic brands, but primarily consists of Symons Cone Crushers, Omnicone Crushers, and Hydrocone Crushers. Primary responsibilities include sustainable revenue growth, profitability improvement, product lifecycle management, new product development, availability management and net working capital optimization. In addition, creating value propositions based on market area feedback, understanding of customer needs, following market trends, and monitoring competition.

This position is mainly located in Brookfield, CT but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, it involves up to 40% travel.

Team you belong to

You will join a team of Crushing Product Business Line dedicated to developing and implementing a business plan to manage the business to achieve agreed financial and growth targets.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement a business plan to manage the business to achieve agreed financial and growth targets.

  • Own, drive, and develop the Classic Crusher Products business.

  • Assess global market share levels for various parts categories and determine mutually agreed upon market share gains with the market area sales team.

  • Identify customer value opportunities and create innovate solutions leveraging data and digital capabilities.

  • Identify, assess, and coordinate product development opportunities that may include parts bundling programs, new spares products, retrofits, engineering services, etc.

  • Implement global pricing guidelines and, if required, adjust to local market conditions (as approved and warranted based on competition, installed base, targeted category campaigns, etc.)

  • Provide the necessary training tools to help ensure market area sales team and third party distribution partners are competent to effectively sell spares.

  • Provide guidance and support necessary to build marketing campaigns to grow identified target areas.

  • Monitor competitor activity in the market area with respect to pricing, new products, customer supply agreements, product engineering developments and improvements, etc.

  • Works to ensure any related company intellectual property is controlled and protected.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years' applicable industry, company, and product/engineering experience

  • Familiarity with the broad range of Mining and Construction equipment / products and engineering practices.

  • Solid knowledge base with Metso services/aftermarket business and engineering applications, the industry and the customers

  • Business and relationship oriented

  • Must understand and have the ability to implement our BU/BL strategy, and fully understand the financial requirements (including pricing, margin levels, SGA requirements, and inventory requirements/levels)

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence others.

  • Strong communication skills, plus co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.

  • High sense of urgency and the ability to develop action plans and meet deadlines

  • Strong drive and performance orientation skills required.

  • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Strong Customer service-customer satisfaction capabilities.

  • Be willing to actively engage in problem solving opportunities.

  • High level of computer skills- Excel, Word and PowerPoint
