The opportunity:

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, NA Channels & Alliances, the Director, NA Channels & Alliances is responsible for strategically driving the channels and alliances relationships in NA for OpenText. This person will be responsible for the development and management of the Partner Account Manager team as it relates to the successful recruitment, retention, and management of the key strategic partners. This team will be responsible for delivering key strategic relationships with the intention of building partner originated pipeline and securing incremental revenues for OpenText. This team is also responsible for ensuring all program requirements and benefits are delivered and adhered to by the OpenText team and partner community.

You are great at:

  • Develop and drive strategic programs for use in all aspects of the channel


  • Develop relationships within OpenText leadership to ensure the program aligns

to current go to market models

  • Defining go-to-market for key managed partners

  • Recruit, manage, and develop a team of people to manage key program


  • Work closely with the Regional Channel team and other stakeholders and their

teams to drive incremental revenue and to secure given growth targets

  • Create and leverage deep, meaningful, and trusted relationships with partners

for the benefit of OpenText

What it takes:

  • Strategy development, general business and go to market planning

  • Leverage the Corporation's resources to drive incremental sales of OpenText

industry, technology and solution propositions

  • Jointly develop new, differentiated value propositions and solutions to drive

incremental revenues for OpenText

  • Work with field teams to support sales, marketing, and services initiatives and

to create regional alignment between OpenText and its partners

  • Prepare and manage quarterly reviews with selected partners

  • Works closely with OpenText regional sales leaders, channel management,

regional service and support leaders, product and R&D management as

necessary to execute North America strategy and programs to drive

incremental business

  • Apply insight, knowledge, and expertise to convince existing and prospective

partners to include OpenText EIM platform in their reference architectures

Success requires the development and management of Alliances Strategy and Go-To-Market (GTM) plan with partners, sales, supporting channel organizations and key stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to shape Partner program development and take responsibility for broader partner-related activities within the company as we transition to a "Partner-First" organization. You must be a highly motivated team player with expertise working in a fast paced, cross-functional manner thriving in environments of continuous change. You are a proven self-starter with a track record on delivering outstanding results in building and shaping partner organizations, and think outside the box. You demonstrate strong business acumen, have outstanding communication skills, and are able to effectively build relationships with SI partners and internal stakeholders at all levels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage to make an impact within your first 90 days with results focused drive to succeed * Identify, recruit, and onboard new partners for Datorama. Develop a joint strategy, certification, and GTM plan, and perform all aspects of partner development * Provide consistent partner management and performance reviews to ensure that our SI partners are developing their sales, pre-sales, and delivery capabilities, and meet their enablement, training and certification targets that are in line with Salesforce strategy * Coordinate with Datorama and Salesforce (SFDC) Sales teams involved in the sales process and hold accountable for achieving and exceeding the performance targets jointly established with SI partners in the region and ensure our partners are aligned in delivering successful projects * Review sales and certification metrics on recurring basis with Partners, GTM team, Sales and regional leadership. Maintain pipeline and dashboards for regular reporting of the effectiveness of identified programs and investments to Executive Leadership * Conduct regular cadence between managed Partner & SFDC stakeholders (Sales, Development, Industry Teams, etc.) * Joint Solution Development & Execution - Commercialize vertical solutions or product extensions to leverage partner IP and vertical expertise with Salesforce Industries teams * Demonstrate ability to liaise with and motivate individuals at all levels of the partner relationships * Establish effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, including sales, alliances, marketing, legal, operations and SI partners. * Politically astute, strong communication skills and good understanding of business, ability to ascertain key decision makers * Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce technology and articulate Salesforce value propositions to new and growing partners QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE * 5+ years in a channel sales or channel management roles focused on multiple partner types (Global SI's, Regional SI's, etc.) and domain background in Marketing, eCommerce and other B2C technologies. * Strong external industry network with 3-5 years of SaaS based Marketing and/or CRM Cloud partner channel sales experience. Experience in working with agencies is beneficial * Experience in building and growing a Partner ecosystem, and developing a Partner strategy * Proven ability to build, lead, and execute strategy in a cross-functional environment. History of successfully developing and leading multiple strategic partnerships * Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and engaging with several internal teams and stakeholders at once. * Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and project management skills, proven ability to understand different partner GTM and Organizational models. * Demonstrable ability to exceed partner revenue targets and strong executive business development skills. * Understanding of service offering creation, marketing, lead generation and professional services organization key performance indicators. * Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Bachelor's degree, MBA, or other related advanced degree preferred.
