Director, CD&D H&W Pet and Animal North America (NA)

Location: This position can work from any ADM US office.

Your role:

• Push the H&W portfolio implementation and commercialization in the Pet and Animal market segments from inside the CD&D team, building close and fruitful ways of collaboration between the Global H&W platform and NA market segment community. Build a network with the three other CD&D H&W Market Segment Leads: Dietary Supplement, Beverages and Foods (SG&D and Savory Food) within the global business.

• Be a senior SME for H&W ingredients application for Pet & Animal Wellbeing, Pet Solutions and Animal Nutrition segments.

• Inspire and influence the NA Pet & Animal Wellbeing, Pet Solutions and Animal nutrition teams to include H&W ingredients and solutions whenever reasonable; closely cooperate with all teams across functions and regions to achieve the business targets of Pet & Animal Wellbeing and H&W.

• Manage a range of priority projects from concept through successful commercialization.

• Coordinate the testing and validation studies of key ingredients in targeted applications.

• Develop the team to be the leading team in the industry

• Accompany key strategic customer meetings from briefing to launch

• Collaborate with the global H&W portfolio manager to build the gold standard solution library for NA

• Identify and work to fill important portfolio gaps for NA

• Give feedback to the CD&D leadership team regarding important learnings

• Be a key stakeholder in the I2L innovation process in the Pet & Animal Wellbeing market segment, making sure that innovation includes H&W ingredients and gets an adequate level of attention, in coordination with Pet Solutions and Animal Nutrition project pipeline.

• Represent H&W, Pet & Animal Wellbeing segments at selected trade fairs across NA

• Ensure competitive and scientific watch on H&W ingredients and solutions

Your profile:

• Master's or PhD degree in Food or Animal Science/Nutrition or a related field. Alternatively, a DVM degree with experience in the Pet Food or Pet Care.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Pet & Animal Wellbeing / H&W related roles

• Familiar with the Pet & Animal Wellbeing market and has a vision and understanding of market requirements

• Passionate about the importance of extending the healthy life of animals through purposeful diets

• Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French is preferred.

• Strong customer/client focus, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and influencing skills

• Initiative, excellent planning, and organizing abilities, as well as excellent relationship-building, teamwork, and communication skills

• Reliability
