The Director, Case Management- Complement Franchise will manage a team of Nurses (RN & LPN) in the US. The Director is a resource and mentor for the team in all aspects of the case manager's role; including assurance of appropriate clinical and system documentation training. Complement Franchise Lead is responsible for collaboration with Director of Clinical Management to identify trends in barriers to patient needs and actively collaborate with Medical Science Liasions and lead the cross-functional communication to our internall business partners as needs are identified. . Also will lead the review and training (if applicable) necessary for the CM team to address the findings. AD Complement Lead with be the primary contact to our internal business partners to communicate and collaborate role specific strategies to achieve patient desired outcomes.
Complement Lead will be principal contact for CM Management as well as Commercial Business Partners. This person will direct efforts to ensure U.S. CM activities are compliant with internal policies and processes. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to,
Collaboration with Director of Clinical Management to identify trends in OneSource CM Program Enrolled patients starting/discontinuing/restarting an Alexion approved therapy
Collaboration with Director of Clinical Management to identify opportunites of quality improvement for CM team, optimizing positive patient outcomes
Direct communication of updates/needs to Sr. Level OneSource and Executive Medical Management as needed/requested
Lead or designate representative to all Cross-functional Complement Franchise strategy meetings as applicable
Participate in US. MALT (Medical Affairs Leadership Team) meetings to identify needs and strategize approaches
Assure adherence to company policies including but not limited to compliance and Pharmocovigilence
Prepare PowerPoint slides and Present as needed during internal and approved external meetings
Ongoing work with CM Funding Specialists to proactively identify access issues for patients who desire treatment with an Alexion approved therapy
Ensure the abidance of all policies and procedures related to this position
5-7 years recent case management experience
Strong business acumen with an understanding of the Case Management model and Medical Affairs fuction
2-5 years supervisory/manager experience, including managing remote teams
Background in healthcare and case management in medical or hospital practice or bio-pharma industry
Proven Project Management skills
Organizational agility- can partner with peers and leaders across all parts of the organization
Proficiency with regard to health insurance benefits, billing, coding, relevant state and federal laws and insurance regulations.
Strong communication, problem solving, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to handle sensitive issues with opposing opinions, work in cross functional environment and handle projects or multiple tasks
Excellent negotiator and team player
Computer and internet research literacy
Ability to travel required
Pharmacy degree or RN required
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care/Life Sciences/Nursing preferred
