ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs and develops the value initiative pipeline to optimize the global Facilities & Capex spend. Prioritize sourcing efforts, develop baseline spend and manages sequential sourcing waves.

  • Responsible for conducting spend analysis, analyzing supply markets, identifying sourcing value levers, executing competitive RFIs/RFPs and leading supplier negotiations.

  • Builds strong relationships with Executive Team and key stakeholders across the business to agree on business goals and key requirements and remove obstacles for sourcing teams.

  • Manages complex sourcing initiatives, leads large cross-functional teams and ensures teams understand supply market dynamics and develop innovative supply solutions.

  • Ensures integrity of savings tracking and reporting efforts and works with Finance team to ensure negotiated savings are realized.

  • Establishes leading supplier management practices, building policies and procedures for reviewing supplier performance and ensuring new value is created year over year.

  • Leads the Capex strategic sourcing function globally, develops talent, leverages technology and drives savings and new value.

  • Builds and develops strategic sourcing talent. Hires, develops and coaches the strategic sourcing team. Manages retention, compensation, performance management, resource scheduling and planning, capability and skill development, career development etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of successful strategic sourcing expertise including managing direct reports.

  • Strategic sourcing experience must include global agreements for equipment and systems.

  • Candidate must have strong enough understanding of maintenance & installation contracts and complex systems (gained either through engineering degree or extensive experience sourcing in those areas) to hold their

  • The candidate needs to promote & encouraging employee engagement and developing top talent.

  • Proven ability to develop and lead complex strategic sourcing strategies and initiatives to deliver significant business impact.

  • Proven own with engineering stakeholders.

  • Proven ability working with business leaders, stakeholders and internal operations teams ability to lead high-performance teams and build strong and lasting partnerships.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S./B.A. degree required (in relevant area such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or similar discipline)
  • MBA and other relevant degree /certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) highly desirable

In this position, the individual will assume a leadership role in the Global CapitalEquipment procurement organization and focus on supporting factory capitalneeds in Metrology and Test, and focus on identifying, developing, and managingrelationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet the establishedcost, quality, and delivery targets. S/he will negotiate pricing, commercialand supply agreements with suppliers of goods and services, as well ascollaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to identify and drivecost reduction / avoidance activities. S/he will be the driving force to set upthe local vendor/agents, work on import/export/TAX/Licenses issues andresolution. The individual must possessexceptional interpersonal / team building skills including ability to communicatewith all levels of the organization and drive activities across functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: In thisposition, the individual will work with all stakeholders to address all aspectsof procurement management for services, goods, including procurement support,supplier management, supply-base strategy, market trends assessment, pricing,etc. * Understand business service needs, request for quotation, negotiatepricing, commercial and supply agreements with suppliers. * Lead quarterly negotiations with suppliers to achieve costreduction and other business objectives. * Negotiate legal contracts such as NDA, SOW, MEA with suppliers. * Coordinates procurement activities with manufacturing, quality,planning and engineering departments. * Establish, implement, and administer system and process toevaluate, monitor, report and manage supplier performance and improvement(incl. QBR's). * Monitor commodity market trends; effectively reflect market dynamicin terms of supply, cost, etc. * Requiresdomestic or global expertise of assigned commodities. * Performs cost analysis for designated commodities includingbuilding should cost models * Develop and execute a supply-base strategy to meet the Company'sbusiness growth and requirements. * Identify, develop and manage relationships with existing andpotential suppliers to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive the rightequipment/vendor selection, timing of purchase, cost reduction / avoidanceactivities and ensure Procurement has a seat at the table for all decisions. TravelRequirements: * Approx. 20% travel may be required QUALIFICATIONS: Technical: Knowledge of business principles such as purchasing, materials logisticsmanagement, business and contract law, finance and accounting. Requiresextensive experience in procurement and related functions with particularemphasis on negotiation and contract management. Strong interpersonal, oral andwritten skills required to conduct daily activities. Requires a significantdegree of analytical ability and either a business or technical background.
