The Finance Director is responsible for supporting HP-CIO, leading the finance function for Business Technology Solutions, complex business or a major finance sub-function within a large, complex business. The role drives the planning, implementation, and communication of finance initiatives, oversees Business Technology investment portfolio, external vendor relationships, and plays a key role in business-wide program implementation. The role develops and maintains financial policies, ensuring strategic alignment, and serves as a key advisor to executive management.
Responsibilities
Leads the finance function for a mid-sized, complex business, or for a major finance sub-function within one of organization's largest, most complex businesses.
Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of the organization's finance initiatives within area of accountability across the organization.
Allocates financial and human capital for programs and projects and ensures timely and effective delivery of financial programs.
Drives process improvement and policy development projects that have a significant impact on the function's efficiency and effectiveness.
Oversees and manages extensive external vendor relationships, ensuring smooth collaboration and optimized services.
Leads implementation of business-wide programs and products, playing a pivotal role in their integration and deployment across the organization.
Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company for all financial and tracking metrics.
Oversees operational success, aligns strategies, integrates activities with major organizational functions, and owns numerous measurable goals.
Serves as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business, while also developing organizational policies and authorizing their implementation.
Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
