Overview

The Director, IT Business Operations and PMO (Project Management Office) is a key resource to the SVP, CIO and part of the IT Leadership team at Young's. The ideal candidate will support the Chief Information Officer and be responsible for oversight, planning, fiscal management, and execution for the on-going programs and project management of critical business initiatives targeted at ensuring the company's strategic plans are implemented successfully and on time. This is a "hands on" position, focused on execution, for a detail-oriented person looking for a big challenge and a great growth opportunity.

The Director Business Operations and PMO will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, and communicating the department performance as measured against progress targets. Performance management crosses on-time project completion, system performance, service delivery and human capital performance. Success will be measured against ensuring IT projects are in alignment with the business results and that the projects deliver against tangible results.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to understand their technology requirements. Provide regular communication to the business regarding projects, issues, defects, analysis efforts, and potential projects.

  • Track project execution for large IT initiatives.

  • Coordinate between business and technical teams.

  • Design and deliver regularly scheduled reports and executive presentations to review the status of all projects.

  • Align with the business functional team to ensure data conversion aligns with the functional solution being implemented.

  • Maintain and track key metrics that measure how IT is performing both internally and externally.

  • Support the business and IT functional leaders in creating business cases for IT projects and programs.

  • Ensure that applications development initiatives are well managed and delivered to meet expectations on functionality, timeliness, and cost.

  • Work closely with IT functional teams to mitigate resource constraints and project issues.

  • Develop process improvement initiatives and recommendations.

  • Monitor the budget (including resource allocation), escalation and issue resolution, and reporting at the program level when individual projects are part of a larger initiative.

  • Proactively analyze IT investments to ensure that IT investment is providing the desired benefits to business groups.

  • Assist with the creation and communication of effective change management and communication plans for the leadership team and broader organization.

  • May perform additional duties assigned.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

  • 5+ years of progressively increasing IT management experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience managing projects.

  • Must have experience with Oracle EBS.

  • Deep knowledge of systems architecture, technical design, system and software development technology.

  • Extraordinary project management skills.

  • Ability to set and communicate priorities effectively; able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting tasks and priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting.

  • Must be able to write persuasively in narrative form.

  • Able to communicate complex and technical subject matter into business terms.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project management or Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience with Manhattan WMS/TMS.

  • Master's Degree in Information Systems or Business Management.

  • Ability to step into projects already in progress and effectively assume a leadership role.

  • Vendor negotiations.

The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to identify problems while providing solutions. The Director, Salesforce will be involved with building processes from the ground up and managing our sales teams. The role requires someone to be a strong independent worker who is always looking for more ways to succeed and challenge the status quo. This person must be well organized and have a history of managing projects to a timeline with detailed updates. Finally, the Director, Salesforce will assist in driving the implementation in each one of our markets while helping enforce efficiency of their initiatives. Responsibilities * Work alongside SVP to ensure alignment with Suppliers and states. * Manage our sales team to ensure deadlines are met. * Ability to work under pressure, set goals for the team and meet timelines outlined. * Help SVP drive project implementations with IT project managers. * Coordinate market implementation of Salesforce system and redesign features. * Work with state leads to create and implement new initiatives around measuring performance. * Manage focus sku's for the company and deliver results within Excel reports and dashboards. * Continuously monitor data quality and integrity and develop cross check methods to ensure accuracy including item, supplier, organizational hierarchy * Ensure programming is being delivered on time to help our merchandising team execute. * Work with IT to build and test new features from feedback from our field reps. * Help train and develop the team to learn new ways of working within Salesforce. * Create a best practices processes and communication. * Log and deliver reporting. * Constantly work to ensure experience and usage is being delivered by our market teams. * Manage onboarding and training materials to new hires. * Create reporting and set processes for the department to deliver results. * Additional Responsibilities may be assigned Qualifications EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in a business-related field preferred. * 3 - 5 years of experience managing people at a director level or above in a CPG company * 2 – 4 years of experience using Salesforce.com * 1 - 3 years of sales in the wine & spirits industry preferred * 3 - 5 years calling on a corporate buyer or working with suppliers at a corporate level. * Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required (pivot tables and VLOOKUP a must) SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Ability to import and export data from various sources. * Advanced knowledge with Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Look up, etc.). * Knowledge of and ability to utilize customer profile and user information. * Time management skills and prioritization of workload is required. * Ability to collaborate with people at multiple levels in the organization.
