Position Summary:

A Director of Business Development (DBD) is responsible for building and maintaining a network of both Regional and National Residential/Commercial Mortgage Brokers, Lenders and Originators, for the primary purpose of generating product flow into our Non-Owner Occupied (NOO) Fix & Flip and Investor Rental Loan Products. Incumbent is responsible for negotiating agreements with perspective business partners, marketing the products of Constructive Loan LLC and to prudently exercise their authority in the promotion of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills. Solid industry and technical knowledge.

  • A firm grasp of the mortgage origination process

  • Knowledge of business structures like LLC, LP, SP and others

  • Ability to utilize Loan Pricing Rate Sheets, product guidelines and restrictions and convey accurate information to Third Party Originator (TPO) partners.

  • Knowledge of business structures like LLC, LP, SP and others

Qualifications Required:

  • Proficient computer and keyboard aptitude; familiarity with basic Office applications

  • Hands-On knowledge of the loan originations process

  • 4 Year Degree or 5 Years related industry experience

Essential Functions &

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and regularly maintain a sales strategy process to identify and attract new lenders and brokers to the wholesale platform

  • Work to expand and grow existing client relationships when prudent

  • Research and identify new market opportunities

  • Participate in the company's marketing strategies

  • Participate in and/or lead the sales process to potential clients

  • Effectively utilize CRM software and programs to track potential new relationships and provide regular updates to Senior Management

  • Foster a collaborative environment within the organization

  • Present appropriate loan products and programs and explain guidelines.

  • Must be able to manage a large production pipeline throughout the life of the sales process

  • Regularly communicate with the Operations Staff to ensure a clean and efficient production pipeline

  • Work with Loan Coordinators and the Operations team as a whole to ensure an efficient loan origination process and timely loan closings/fundings.

  • Perform all job functions in accordance with Constructive Loan's LLC policies and procedures

  • Maintains and follows compliance policy for Clean Desk Policy and borrower sensitive information

  • Attends relevant industry conferences and workshops to network and expand customer base

  • Continues to always learn about new loan programs and product/guideline updates

  • Attend and complete all Department and Company required training.

Additionally, the DBD should maintain a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Federal and State compliance policies and adhering to HMDA requirements. The DBD will set proper expectations with the TPO Partners during the loan application process, with respect to process timing and SLAs, and will respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Essential job duties and responsibilities for the (Business Development Coordinator) include but are not limited to: * Utilizes a Certification database. * Provides recommendations on Certification decisions. * Effective time management and organization skills. * Finance, accounting, and/or legal experience a plus. * Compiles data and prepares periodic reports, as requested. * Knowledgeable in managing local, state and, federal regulations. * Detail-oriented in reviewing, analyzing and, make recommendations on Certification applications submitted by business owners. * Focuses on business ownership and control, operations, management structure, expertise, functionality, independence and, Small Business Administration size standards. * Conducts on-site visits and job site visits to verify the location, functionality, and legitimacy of a business through examination of the physical premises, equipment, inventory, day-to-day operations, staffing and business records such as bank statements, leases, payroll records, invoices, etc. * Performs weekly visits to construction sites, offices and, other business. * Conducts informational pre-certification workshops for business owners and responds to inquiries regarding MWSDBE certification programs or application status. * Disseminates information about MWSDBE program requirements to businesses, the public, outside agencies and, City staff, including via workshops and seminars. * Communicates effectively with business owners, executives, administrators, elected officials, employees and, the general public. * Prioritizes work effectively and must have the ability to adapt to changes and competing priorities. * Performs special projects as needed and other position-related duties. * Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to analyze complex fact patterns succinctly and in a user-friendly format. * Knowledgeable in governmental regulations, guidelines relative to Minority/Women/Small/Disadvantaged Business Enterprises * Experience in Persons with Disabilities Business Enterprise programs a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There is only a slight source of discomfort from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. The position may involve dealing with situations where occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or periodic use of a video display terminal are required. Requires the ability to make simple gross motor responses within large tolerances. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Liberal Arts or a related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One year of responsible professional administrative experience is required. Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
