Our in-depth expertise in security engineering at the operating system level enables us to help government and commercial customers meet ever-evolving cyber security threats.Job Summary:Owl Cyber Defense is hiring a new position of Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Federal Team including Intelligence, Defense, Civilian, and Cloud Service Providers. As a BDM for Owl, you will be responsible for developing and executing business development and Go-to-Market strategies that will grow business. This includes developing and strengthening partnerships with Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs) and other companies that will help Owl Cyber Defense meet customer requirements and mission needs. All candidates must have an active TS/SCI/Poly clearance. Although this position is remote, living in the DC Metro Area is strongly favored. This exciting and newly created position supporting the Federal Team, is a critical position for Owl and the candidate will be able to “move-the-needle” in this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Check industry and government systems for business opportunities.
Participate in industry meetings, conferences, symposia, and networking events
Secure Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with industry partners to drive business; maintain accurate records of companies and opportunities for which NDAs and teaming agreements are in effect
Generate and distribute sales leads and help close sales that meet sales and profit goals
Have a strong understanding of company products and services, as well as our business position and competition to win business
Develop Go-to-Market strategies, new sales areas, and methods to win business in government organizations and industry partners
Develop and maintain continuing relationships with government and industry leaders
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners. Meet regularly with internal stakeholders and strategic partners to review pipeline and capabilities
Maintain continual awareness of Owl’s competitive position with respective sectors through collection of business intelligence, competitor analysis, contract award notices, and industry and government press releases
Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience
5 or more years of professional work experience supporting the Federal Government including sales or business development with an emphasis on new business development
Relationships with US Federal Government customers, Federal Systems Integrators, and related companies required
Must be able to build comprehensive Business Development and Go-to-Market strategies to win business
Strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience for mission success
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay organized and multi-task between multiple tasks/customer situations simultaneously
Motivated, self-directed, and results-driven
Experience with using HubSpot or other CRM applications
Knowledge of and access to the “ARC”
Experience with or membership in INSA, AFCEA, USGIF, and VIMs
Understanding of NCDSMO requirements and policies
Additional Competencies/Requirements
Ability to travel ~25%
US Citizen with active TS/SCI/Poly required
