We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Business Development to support the Navy Market.
The Navy Business Development and Capture Manager will be responsible for the identification, pursuit, strategy and capture of Business Development in the Navy with an emphasis on the NAVAIR community.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the challenges of both new program acquisition and system sustainment as well as in the operations of the Navy. As the Senior Capture Manager, the selected individual will be responsible for the entire capture evolution to include identification, teaming alliances, response strategy, proposal development, and execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all phases of business development activities to ensure business and financial objectives are attained.
Seek out, build, and sustain relationships with industry and academic institutions involved in Navy with an emphasis on the Naval Aviation Enterprise.
Manage the development of new strategic business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities. Consult with management in pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance the capabilities of the organization.
Manage the assessment of potential business opportunities through activities such as market and economic analysis, monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs.
Manage and influence the preparation of opportunity capture plans, win strategies, proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).
Consult with executive management to develop and implement current, annual and long-term strategy and financial objectives for the Navy Market.
BS/BA and 15 years of related industry or military experience required
Intimate organizational and mission knowledge of the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAVAIR).
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM.
Demonstrated access to key government customers and industry partners in the Navy/NAVAIR market space.
Organizational and mission knowledge of the general Navy market to include NAVSEA.
Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building Industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers in the Group and across NTA.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Clearance Required - Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
