About Your Role:

Investopedia is hiring a Director, Brand Partnerships, who has a strong background and focus on advertising sales with accounts in the Finance space. As an emerging leader of Brand Partnerships, you'll be responsible for producing revenue in our finance vertical by using your category expertise to forge new partnerships and grow existing business.

About Your Contributions:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals

  • Strong sales DNA to drive new business by prospecting new and existing clients and agencies with a relentless focus on closing business

  • Win big deals (agency and client direct) and attract repeat business

  • Successfully negotiate sales commitments, both for new and renewal accounts, that are consistent with the company's business objectives

  • Respond to and close RFPs with a sense of urgency

  • Work with marketing and site/product-specific sales leads, and post-campaign sales support leads to create effective and compelling sales materials, presentations and client follow-up documents

  • Monitor, forecast, track and report sales performance

About You:

  • 3-5 years of digital media sales experience with a minimum of three years of successful digital advertising sales experience

  • Experience working with financial services and other relevant categories to Investopedia

  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to think and plan strategically, adept at solving problems and bring timely resolution to issues

  • Ability to collaborate and work well internally with other departments (marketing, operations, site directors) and internal stakeholders

  • Superior listening and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, sense of humor

  • Must be organized, energetic, detail-oriented and have excellent negotiation and presentation skills

  • Results-driven orientation, superior client management skills, excellent follow-up and follow-through

  • Independent self-starter who comes equipped with strong contacts at key digital agencies and clients and can get up and running quickly

  • High degree of integrity and business ethics

  • Willing to travel as needed

  • College degree required

The Role: The Senior Brand Partnership Manager is responsible for building success by identifying, qualifying and selling prospects and existing clients on the value of Pocket. In this role you will establish a solid framework of understanding Pocket, create an actionable plan of execution for assigned territory and meet sales goals. The best candidate brings existing relationships with them to the table, and they are comfortable presenting at both a tactical and strategic level; all the while evangelizing, educating and influencing at both the agency and client. What you'll do: * Build and maintain effective relationship at both agency and client direct * Develop leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline to ensure sufficient opportunities exist to meet revenue goals * Assess potential business deals, through RFP response and pursue proactive opportunities via strategic partnerships * Keep up-to-date and detailed records of sales activity through a CRM solution and effectively forecast monthly and quarterly sales * Exceptional client service background - Track, analyze and communicate performance of advertiser campaigns on Pocket * General understanding of Content Marketing and Native Advertising * The ability to articulate complex ideas in an elegant, meaningful way for the benefit of clients and internal teams * Present client feedback to Pocket Product and Marketing teams and work to develop new sales offerings to meet your clients needs Skills * 2-4 years digital media sales or advertising experience with history of exceeding sales goals * Extremely organized with strong time management and prioritization skills * New business expert, managing a high volume of sales calls and meetings per day/week * Strategic thinking to service existing accounts * Exceptional verbal, writing and presentation skills * A swift decision maker, able to confidently deliver quality in a rapidly growing and changing organization * Comfortable in high level conversations with senior brand marketers and key decision makers with the ability to negotiate and close business deals * Detailed knowledge of online media planning terms and processes * Immersed in digital culture, with knowledge of trends and innovation in the digital space * Maintain proper adherence to company standards About Pocket Learn more on our blog.
