Pandora is looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to join the growing Marketing & Communications team in Oakland, CA. This senior level role will lead the development of Pandora's Brand Marketing strategy and will drive the execution of integrated marketing campaigns and projects across the organization. The Director will also lead a team, and will need to be able to balance bigger picture vision and strategy that inspires, with a truly hands-on and scrappy approach to getting our work in market, quickly and effectively. We are seeking a brand strategy team player and leader that has experience in building long term, sustaining marketing and communication strategies that are rooted in insights (Business / Consumer / Competitive) and has executed projects by collaborating with agencies and teams across a matrixed organization. This position requires a curious, self-motivated individual that is passionate about music & pop-culture, has experience bringing a brand strategy to life, is exceptional at managing multiple priorities, and is an inspiring and effective communicator that builds strong relationships to influence decision making and business results.
Build and execute fresh, exciting and breakthrough integrated brand campaigns that are rooted in listener insights, anchor to the overarching brand narrative, and are developed with channel best practices by continually partnering with Curation, Sales, Creative, Product Marketing, Paid & Owned Media, Social & Editorial, and PR
Ensure timely reporting of campaign analysis, ensure regular communication of results to key stakeholders, leverage insights in development of future work.
Author Pandora Brand Communications Guidelines, to ensure clarity on positioning, differentiation attributes and value propositions. Specifically, ensure the following are up to date and continually maintained to help enforce consistency across all consumer touchpoints: Pandora's Brand Book, Visual Identity System Guidelines, Product Marketing Copy Guidelines, Usage in Advertising Guidelines, Brand Marketing Wiki, Pandora U Presentation, etc
Contribute to the development of annual and seasonal marketing planning by building Go-To-Market presentations that inform / inspire employees about Pandora's Brand Strategy and Performance
Quarterly reporting of relevant market conditions, industry and competitive trends to shape future plans.
Minimum bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications
15+ years' applicable marketing experience required; Brand Strategy experience a plus
Experience in developing cross-functional digital marketing plans rooted in mobile
Experience executing multicultural campaigns a plus
Experience in best-in-class media strategies, planning and measurement
Experience executing Influencer Marketing a plus
Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional partners
Analytics and data-driven
