Primary Purpose of Job: Responsible for leading the financial services training team in the design, development, and implementation of curriculum and specialized programs.
Facilitates learning utilizing various instructional techniques and formats such as instructor-lead classroom, team exercises, role playing, and group discussion.
Provides recommendations and solutions for continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Major Job Accountabilities:

  • Manages a team of corporate trainers and provides leadership for the banker training program

  • Assesses the effectiveness of training methods and implements additional training activities as needed.

  • Identifies and implements the most appropriate and cost-effective learning approach, including selection of learning media.

  • Designs solutions to support the Branches and identifies opportunities for additional training needs.

  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and new technology to enhance the banker training program.

    Education Requirements:
  • College (4-year) Degree, Education or related field or equivalent work experience Experience Required:

  • Five (5) years minimum experience in:

  • Development of curriculum and course materials for classroom and on-the-job training

  • Supervisory experience in coaching, counseling, delegating, motivating and team building

  • Retail bank products, sales or management experience preferred Required Skills or Training:

  • Working knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures preferred

  • Knowledge of instructional design principles for training including development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices

  • Strong skills in customer service, team development, coaching, planning, and organization

  • Must be a direct, articulate and thoughtful communicator with exceptional facilitation, influencing and presentation skills to drive desired results

  • Proficient experience and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
