The Digital Marketing Manager job oversees and directs digital marketing operations to build and sustain presence in digital channels, and to increase revenue and profitability. This job supervises professionals and para-professionals responsible for web content creation/marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Guides the development and implementation of digital marketing efforts to build and sustain presence in digital channels and to increase revenue and profitability.

  • Coordinates collection of and monitors content performance metrics, impacts of search engine optimization initiatives, and effectiveness of social media outlets.

  • Directs activities relating to the creation, maintenance, and publishing of digital marketing content for both company and non-company websites and social media platforms, ensuring content and display supports marketing initiatives to meet business goals.

  • Manages and communicates on the effective usage of the digital marketing budget, assists with analyzing return on investment and identifying factors impacting sales, costs, and profitability.

  • Manages performance of digital marketing team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of high quality digital marketing strategies and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

  • Responsible for guiding design, expanding capabilities, and delivering integrated customer experiences that educate and engage

  • Focus on creating and optimizing marketing experiences for the prospect and participant on, helping the user understand who TIAA is, and how we can help them

  • Directing the management of the team through effective planning, organizing, coordination, and measurement of team activities.

  • Being digitally savvy, customer-focused marketer who is passionate about building customer experiences that deliver value and outcomes

  • Foresight to help build our digital vision and ability to execute rapidly in an agile, high growth and collaborative business environment, s/he is a modern marketer, data-led and able to leverage a myriad of tech and tools to continually improve the site experience

  • Deliver improvements to contribute to the build of a best-in-class web experience to transform this consumer property into a strategic asset for engagement with clients and prospects

  • Translate go-to-market plans and creative concepts to the digital space

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create and evolve web pages and experiences within the CMS, utilizing different components and templates to achieve the optimal design and customer experience

  • Ability to work within an agile product delivery model and lead scoping for new digital projects

  • Build and optimizing web pages and ensure data and content compliance

  • Ensure appropriate product testing, oversee user acceptance testing and support go-to-market planning in order to increase engagement and action

  • Leverage full suite of martech tools including CMS (AEM), SEO, personalization (Interaction Studio), testing (Google Optimize), tagging (Google Tag Manager), CDP, CRM (SFMC) and marketing automation

  • Represent the voice of the customer and champion the digital customer experience.

  • Develop and lead a high performing team focused on delivering digital excellence to support go-to-market plans

  • Work alongside analytical team partners, ensure success measurement plan is executed and outcomes are communicated to the various stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Digital and Customer Experience, Business, and Technology partners to support go to market strategies with digital expertise, prioritize with purpose, and have clear accountability for delivering measurable outcomes (ROI).

Required Qualifications

  • Five plus years of web management experience or similar role

  • Five plus years of experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team and building strong relationships with stakeholders, team members and clients

  • Five plus years of experience leading strategic, complex large-scale initiatives involving many work streams and multi-month development, including demonstrated ability to focus on long term goals and strategic outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seven plus years of experience in similar role

  • Team player with solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to deliver effective oral and written communications.

  • Experience analyzing, interpreting and acting on customer data and insights.

  • Strong knowledge of usability and customer experience principles and techniques for mobile and web information architecture and design

  • Proven ability to execute in scaled agile, taking on end-to-end product ownership and successfully delivering results in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • Motivated self-starter who is able to work independently.

  • Financial services industry/ asset management experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to think creatively

  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional team is a plus

  • Expert level understanding of digital, social and emerging tech trends

  • Experience with marketing technology platforms such as AEM, Interaction Studio, Google Optimize, Google Tag Manager, SFMC


Base Pay Range: $113,200/yr. - $188,600/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
