Job Description

Position Purpose

The Director, Asset Digitization - Value Delivery is a primary CHEP North America position tasked with designing and delivering CHEP NA digital transformation; partnering with Brambles Digital and using IoT, passive tracking, and digital tools to realize value inside NA. This will be in the form of visibility and commercial knowledge improvements, cost structure optimization, and asset efficiency, as well as value for CHEP's customers. Owner of the NA Serialization business case, rollout strategy, and time to value. Share best practices and learnings across other regions and influence the prioritization of enhancements to further the development of tracking solutions. This far reaching role is part of the established center of Digital and IoT expertise within the CHEP NA businesses

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Own Serialization+ scaling decisions and rollout plan, working with supply chain, data science teams, and consultants

  • Lead development and buy-in of the business case for the serialization program as well as further investments in autonomous tracking devices

  • Partner with NA business stakeholders to align objectives, build a pipeline for value creation, and develop proposed actions to use insights to deliver on key business outcomes

  • Advise NA leadership and key stakeholders on the optimal deployment approach to maximize ROI

  • Lead the overall program management of asset digitization initiatives

  • Lead the business transformation and adoption of new tools/ dashboards, working with the regional transformation office, digital, and change management teams

  • Ensure new business models developed are feasible and executable, and lead the portfolio of actions with customers, commercial teams, revenue management, and asset productivity teams

  • Develop strategies and relevant pitches/value proposition to help commercial/retail teams to leverage data and statistical insights for monetization

  • Collaborate with global digital and other regions to ensure necessary hypotheses are tested and ensure key metrics needed to run the business with digital data sets are understood and develop a globally consistent measurement and success metrics

  • Drive and influence actions of digital resources across the supply chain and engineering teams

  • Work with change management teams to effect necessary business as usual' process changes to leverage digital insights in-lieu of /complementing existing data sets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or other process related field

  • Mix of Strategy, Learning, Innovation and Execution orientation

  • Strong communication skills in managing broad range of non-direct report employees

  • Seven years multi-functional experience in CHEP or MBA desired

Experience

  • 10+ years in business transformation, commercial, or operational leadership roles, preferably in the supply chain/logistics space

  • Track record in delivering business transformation and results through cross functional work and collaboration

  • Management of complex change management and stakeholder management across multiple stakeholders

  • Proven track record with business case development and buy-in for large-scale projects from senior leadership

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledgeable with autonomous tracking devices, and software infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of business structure, commercial, supply chain, and asset productivity processes and metrics at CHEP or a company with similar complexity

  • Ability to identify key business challenges and opportunities that could be addressed with use of data/insights from asset digitization and serialization

  • Ability to challenge status quo and create compelling case for change to newer data sets, business models, processes

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within North America, and global digital teams

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, experience presenting to senior management teams
