JOB SUMMARY:

The Director, Annual Programs is responsible for the strategic direction, oversight, and execution of successful annual fundraising programs including, but not limited to, direct response, employee giving, grateful patient, and affinity programs. The Director also has oversight over event-related fundraising and serves as the primary contact for third-party fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and implementation of a comprehensive, goal-driven annual giving program with the goal of retaining current donors, increasing the size of current donor gifts, and attracting new donors for Grady.

  • Oversight and execution of an annual direct response program to include at least three campaigns annually using a multi-channel communication strategy.

  • Development and management of strategic giving programs and opportunities targeting Grady employees, professionals who trained at Grady, individuals born at Grady, and Grady vendors.

  • Development and management of an effective grateful patient giving program.

  • Oversight of event-related fundraising functions including timelines, benefit levels, and prospect lists. Also responsible for ensuring fulfillment of benefits and post-event stewardship functions are managed appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third parties raising money on Grady's behalf.

  • Maintain a portfolio of annual giving donors in the $1,000 to $9,999 giving range.

  • Represent the Foundation externally as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Five or more years of experience in program development/grant writing for non-profit organizations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated success managing a corporate/foundation relation program

  • Knowledge of the corporate/foundation giving community
