Role Summary:

In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Tampa General, provides leadership to managers and professional team members. Has accountability for a facility-level function which may include the performance of multiple sections, modalities, or programs. Develops departmental/function plans, including business, operational, service, and/or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives. May also be responsible for functional or operational results through work of others but without formal reporting relationship. (e.g., management of outsourced team members).

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the development and operations of a facility level-function.

  • Ability to work with members of the Ambulatory Team, hospital departments and administration to solve problems that patients and families may have with the goal of facilitating positive patient experience during their visit to the organization.

  • Creates and executes on operational efficiency initiatives and creases measurable metrics to measure success.

  • Prepares and submits operational, and capital, budget recommendations for facility-level function for approval; revises as appropriate. May review, modify, and approve budget recommendations of assigned modalities, programs or sections as part of operational budget preparation. Monitors assigned budget(s) and adheres to budget and productivity guidelines.

  • Selects, orients, and trains new team members. Ensures competence of assigned team members and compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policy, and performance requirements. Forecasts staffing needs, defines position requirements and ensures team member development needs are met.

  • Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments/service-lines within the organization to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products, and services; identifies opportunities to support organizational initiatives, quality, efficiency, effectiveness and world class service excellence.

  • Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis; forecast requirements, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions.

  • Develops and implements ongoing quality and operational process improvements through the demonstration of quantifiable clinical and/or operational outcomes, safety management and operational efficiency.

  • Creates updates and maintains operational metrics and analytics reporting process including the communication of such metrics and analytics.

  • Partners closely with senior executives and service-line management to enable growth strategies.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies.

  • Achieves customer satisfaction with service delivery. Acts in timely manner to remedy complaints. Supports efforts to investigate feedback comments to determine customer satisfaction and initiates appropriate follow-up.

  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Core Competencies:

Demonstrated competence in the following Leadership functions, abilities, and skills: Planning, Organizing, Directing, Staffing, Coordinating, Reporting, Budgeting. LEAN/Six Sigma Process Improvement, and Ability to lead effectively in a Matrix Organization. Demonstrated ability to Solve Problems, Influence People, Adapt Approaches, and Deliver Results (TW LDR COMP).

Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business (MBA) or related field preferred. Six (6) years progressive experience in healthcare setting with at least three (3) of those years in Lead or Supervisory role.

This role will be responsible for the day to day operations of judgmental lending teams; effectively managing and developing managers to exceed expectations relative to objectives and goals. This role is directly accountable for the Lending Quality, Compliance and Procedural accuracy at all sites as well as the profitability, production and efficiency of the department. In addition to managing direct teams, this person will need to partner across sites with our Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Control and internal Quality Assurance partners to drive overall lending quality and compliance. This motivated Leader will drive ongoing improvement across the processes and people they manage. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring the translation of Credit Policy's lending principles across all sites and assist with the facilitation of implementation, governance, and analysis of judgmental lending decisions. In addition, this person will drive ongoing improvement across all judgmental touch points within Lending Services. The individual will support efforts to improve overall lending decision quality, decision performance and Customer experience. The role will work closely with all areas of Lending Services, Risk Management, and Consumer Practices to identify opportunities for enhancing and transforming our decision performance, customer experience, processes and control environment. This individual will work across diverse and cross-functional organizations to identify solutions, develop plans, and drive improved execution through involvement in key projects, issue remediation, lending philosophy, decision quality, ongoing process review (reporting and trending) and control testing. Key Responsibilities: This role is primarily responsible for supporting the Lending business's principle lending philosophy for Consumer and Business credit card portfolios.
