Director, Alliances:

  • Working with Sales, Engineering, Product Management and Marketing to drive increased adoption, sales and extensibility the overall Trustwave business portfolio. This includes managing and developing strategic alliances as well as technology partners including defining the partnering strategy.

  • The Director, Alliances will play a key role in helping to define the company strategy and drive key strategic initiatives.

  • Not only will you be responsible for creating innovative solutions for Trustwave and our partners, but you will be in many circles the face of the organization to our most strategic alliances.

  • Reports directly into the global Alliances leader and is a key member of the sales leadership team

Responsibilities:

  • Understand key industry participants to enable platform growth and compliment the Trustwave product portfolio.

  • Hire and develop team focused on technology alliances as well as business development.

  • Develop and manage technology partner program including our OEM partners.

  • Enable strategic partners for success through training, content development and support.

  • In conjunction with Marketing and Product Management, ideate and implement go-to-market plans.

  • Train and enable the Trustwave sales organization on our alliance offerings.

  • Thoroughly understand the Security industry, Trustwave's products & services, and our customers - notably their buying triggers and influencers.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive managed security services experience required; including expertise in business development for enterprise applications (b-to-b technology marketing) and/or security solutions.

  • High-energy, creative problem solver with an outgoing, entrepreneurial attitude

  • Enthusiastic personality and self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure without a lot of supervision

  • Proven experience in managing strategic relationships and developing new strategic relationships

Education:

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences or a Business field is required for this role. An MBA is highly-preferred.

The Alliances & Acquisitions team is establishing and growing third-party relationships – through acquisition or via alliance agreements – to enhance our ability to serve our clients. Our team is charged with expanding its reach across McKinsey's practices for which we provide end to end functionally-oriented services led by senior colleagues distributed across North America, Europe, and Asia. We work with practices to identify, develop, foster, and implement their inorganic growth strategies. And we are actively involved in shaping and enabling both acquisitions and alliances. What You'll Do You will enable McKinsey's partnering program platform and the services and processes around onboarding and engagement of our alliances and collaborations through the newly established McKinsey Collaboration Network (MCN). McKinsey Collaboration Network is both the platform and processes that manage McKinsey's onboarding and engagement with third parties. You will report to McKinsey Collaboration Networks's Operations Manager and be a member of the Partnering Operations team. In addition, you will work closely with a growing team of technologists co-located in our Chicago office. This is an exceptional opportunity to have impact in white spaces by supporting new capabilities with McKinsey, with the flexibility to build your own agenda in a start-up environment.
