JOB SUMMARY

The Director Alliance Management is a key member of the fast-growing Spectrum Mobile team. Responsible for operationalizing the Alliance requirements throughout Charter's customer facing organization with a focus on retail stores, marketing, PR and any external events where Charter and Alliance partners are involved. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mobile carriers and device manufacturers, and will help coordinate all aspects of go to market plans and implement the planning cadence with our OEM partners to maximize marketing and merchandising effectiveness.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Provides overall Business Development support, including the analysis and negotiation of company-wide agreements.

Supports the negotiation of business transactions.

Reviews and evaluates business proposals from Alliances, identifying improvements as well as the negotiation strategy to obtain them.

Maintains and fosters strong communication across all divisions and functions within Charter and Alliance partner as needed.

Collaborates with analysts and other decision support resources to successfully execute goals, objectives, and initiatives.

Manages all aspects of analytical and quantitative aspects of our agreement and prepares appropriate decision support reporting to support partner/alliance relationship.

Manage any compliance activity between Charter and Alliance partners.

Manages relationships with various external stakeholders including industry specific organizations focused on building or developing programs and initiatives that align with Charter's mission to provide superior products and services within the Alliance framework.

Establishes and supports Mobile alliance partner projects from beginning to end with solid decision support analysis that support business goals in collaboration with senior management, other business units, and project stakeholders.

Effectively communicates project expectations, timelines, milestones and deliverables in a timely and clear fashion.

Develops and maintains strong relationships with alliance partner leadership to identify local market opportunities, trends, and historical data and anecdotal feedback to support successful Mobile launch.

Prepares deal summaries and updates regarding Alliance priorities/strategies for management.

Understands and occasionally participates in creating business cases.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:

Experience developing strategies with external partners and progressing initiatives: 8

Alliance management experience in the mobile device industry: 5+

Quantitative decision supporting Mobile, technology, CE or Telecom: 5+

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Strong ability to document and present complex data in an easy to understand manner to support critical business decision

Expert-level logical and analytic skills

Strong ability to communicate effectively with executive management and company personnel

Strong ability to demonstrate company values, maintain a positive demeanor, encourage different points of view, move team forward through change, provide timely information, communicate context for business decisions

Strong ability to influence internal and external contacts and provide effective issue advocacy

Strong knowledge of Mobile products and integration of partner/market technology

Strong knowledge with partner alliance strategy

Strong ability to align systems, programs, and people with the company strategy and culture

Knowledge of industry, strategy, business model and market of alliance partnership or ecosystems

Strong experience driving partner business initiatives

Advanced relationship-management skills with a superior ability to lead, engage and build consensus through collaboration and influence, and foster teamwork and collaboration

Strong ability to deal effectively with ambiguity

Project management skills with the ability to establish key priorities, and tactical plans to maximize successful execution

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Masters preferred
