What work will you perform?

The Director of Agent Technology is responsible for representing the business in the development of agent facing technology. You will provide leadership, training guidance, and have oversight of agent technology platforms. Your deep knowledge of agent operations will allow you to serve as subject matter expert on agent workflows and an advocate for agents with our development teams. Your ability to build relationships and influence outcomes will help you lead your team to delivering solutions our agents love to you use.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide development oversight to key projects in support of agent workflow

• Make strategic recommendations for improvement of the company's agent facing tools and technology

• Represent and develop relationships with internal Landstar teams, external vendors, and relevant organizations external to Landstar

• Exhibit advanced industry knowledge of current competitive market and potential future market trends in relation to technology offerings

• Work with IT to plan, prioritize and assign work in support of business objectives

• Develop and manage project plan according to quarterly and bi-weekly sprint goals

• Collaborate with other Product Owners on development features that impact agent business and associated workflows

Required Minimum Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent experience

• Five years of experience in the transportation industry

Preferred Experience and Education:

• Experience as a people manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to travel as needed

• Ability to manage and motivate employees

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Ability to maintain confidentiality while conducting work

• Negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation skills

• Handle escalated calls/issues regarding for resolution
